6.6%ABV. Belgian ale. Poured out gold. 6şSRM. Nose has some nice bubble gum, banana and azuki, sweet red bean paste. Mouthfeel is light and watery. Palate has sweet pale flavors. There are some really sweet flavors, almost sugary. Hop balance is a little clunky with sweet and then bitter. Finish is beery.

0,33l bottle. Cloudy yellow colour with medium lasting stiff and foamy white head. Aroma: Honey, elderflower with notes of banana and belgian yeast. Taste: Sweet fruity start with a light and pleasent bitter mouthfeel and light sour tones. Tasty yet refreshing. Light/medium body with fizzy carbonation. Long bitter/sweet finish. Good and typical belgian ale.

Kicsi, gyorsan eltűnő hab, borostyán szín. Illata malátás. Íze malátásan indít, erős szénsav, némi gyümölcs és fűszer. A korty lecsengésekor némi keserű is előbújik. Utóíze kesernyés és gyümölcsös. Testes, de nem nehéz, könnyen iható.

330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Clear deep golden colour with no yeast sediments; Half finger head and soapy white foam which faeds in 40 seconds; Very Good sticky lacing with notable small carbonation; Sweet aroma of malt, with red fruits, caramel, light floral, strong sugar, light yeast, faint lemon and light grass; Mid to strong sweet taste of bready malt, with caramel, red fruits, floral, sugar, strong bread, light yeast, light lemon, light bitter hops and grass; Mid to light body. Slick palate; Mouth feel is fair Pils maltyness in a somewhat thinned background. Notably strong red fruitiness and caramel. Lots of carbo (I burped a lot) and very sugarly sweet, close to cloying. Very bready and low lemon to round. Hmmm… Hoppiness is faint lemon and light grass in nose, and somewhat stronger in taste; Bitterness is light for an abrupt, very low astringent sweet caramel finish; Slightly dry after taste. Sweet and slightly bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one is a step up from the bland Petrus Speciale, in a wrong way: sugary sweet, lack of any nice Belgian fruity yeasty aroma or taste, and lots of carbo. Just a sweet caramel-lish Belgian Ale, better than basic but not much else. Pass.

Clear yellow, big lasting white lacing foam head. Barley aroma, some sweet notes. Great soft smooth beer feeling, nice. (Velp 201603)
