legion242 (1516), Richardson, Texas, USA Aug 1, 2008 One thing can be said for Petrus beers- they are almost always at least pretty to look at. This blonde lacked the spiciness that would like from the style, but was fine otherwise. SSSteve (1467), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 28, 2008 a clear blonde beer with an orange hue under a small frothy white head. musty, peach, caramel, slighty soured aroma. flavors is butter, toffee, light tropical fruits, slightly sour. light-medium bodied. wunderbier (1266), Tampere, Rovaniemi over summer, Finland Jun 12, 2008 Burnt orange underneath a firm white froth. Forceful perfume aromatics and the sharp and musky aroma of dried apricots sink through chunky, stewed malts. Piquant acidity --made more so by sharp carbonation-- yields to caramel and drupe sweetness before a short floral and medicinal finish. Appropriately velvety and attenuated with sparse flab.
Peculiarly dank with a few sharp corners; lacks the crispness many Belgian blond ales manage.
33cl bottle, best before 09 July 2009. blutt59 (573), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 7, 2008 bottle, light amber color, fluffy head, good orange and lemon flavor with some sweet sugary notes, good body and finish weaselkenievil (295), Cheshire, England Jun 4, 2008 Sour, almost lambicesque. I loved this stuff, bought a few since I rated it. Some people sound like they didn’t particularly care for it but thats what beer drinking is all about. You aren’t going to take someone elses word for it (least of all mine) so you drink it and make up your mind. Me, I loved it.
