Kolor czerwono brunatny.

Kolor: rubinowy, klarowny. Piana koloru be?owego, wysoka i przyzwoicie trwa?a. Aromat: karmel, toffee, palono??, w tle ??iwki ale mocno spieczone. Smak: przede wszystkim karmel, pó?niej palono?? i ciemne owoce ze ?liwkami na czele. Niestety akcenty owocowe ca?y czas t?umione s? palono?ci?. Goryczka nieznaczna, lekko przypalona.

330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Looks: Translucent deep ruby red with a thin ring of yeastsedimentsless than one-quarter finger head and soapy light beige foam which fades in 30 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with active slight carbonation.

Aroma: Quite fragrant dark malt, with fair roastyness, caramel, toffee, light raisins and dark fruits, molasses, strong dark bread, yeast and thin lemon.

Taste: Mid to light sweet dark malt, with light metallic, burnt caramel, strong toast, toffee, nice molasses, strong dark bread, yeast, lemon, fair bitter hops and light grass.

Body: Mid to light body; Thin but slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Very good dark maltyness in a thin but dynamic background. Some neat roastyness with burnt caramel and chewy toffee. Strong fresh toast. Notable sweetness but in very neat notes. Dark bread and lemon to round. Very nice!

Hoppiness: thin lemon in nose. Strong lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is light to moderate for a lasting, fair astringent sweet malty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Toasty and light bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one has a light body, yet with nice dark fruit aroma, strong maltyness, dynamic caramel, toast and good dark bready taste. Sweetness is so well-controlled yet tempting. I can’t help not to like it. Highly Recommended!

Bottle 33 cl. Bière foncée assez conventionnelle. Les arômes sont peu perceptibles mais en bouche, caramel, fruits rouges, carbonation satisfaisante et une finale plaisante.

Aroma of sweet malt, apple and pear. Taste of fruit and malt. Very sweet taste, but with a slightly bitter ending. Weird dubbel, but not bad.

Bottle 33cl. @local Lidl supermarket. Poured into a tulip glass. Clear dark amber brown, two finger frothy light tan head, diminishing slowly thin layer remains, good lacing; aroma sweet malts, maple syrup, caramel, brown sugar, candied cherries, molasses; taste is light heavy sweet, light bitter and light sourish, toffee, fruity (cherries), syrupy, ginger notes, with average duration, taste continues in the aftertaste, spicy notes; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; quite nice and fresh though I wouldn’t call this a Dubbel more like an Oud Bruin.
