3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl. bottle @ home. Picked up from Carrefour. BBF 06/10/2015. Reddish dark brown, fading tanned head. Sweet syrupy smell, molasses, brown sugar, metallic, cheap old dark fruits,Ö Simple sweet syrup, molasses, very plain BE profile, dark bread, brown sugar water, liquorish, herbs & vegetables in the back, touch metallic, bitter. Sparkling. Simple, mainstream & very dull, mediocre at best BE brew. I am confused by the high score here.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Pours a clear red-brown color with a huge tan head. And a lovely head too. Not much aroma to speak of. Taste of malt, molasses, fruits and a hint of chocolate. Very sweet and smooth. A bit of alcohol in the finish. Quite good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 330ml bottle on 29/8/2013. Pours a deep amber with a tiny head which disappears quickly. Has a strong aroma of dark fruit and chocolate malt. Has a big fruity flavour featuring lots of sweet plum, berries and dark dried fruit. Features a modest bitterness and finishes slightly boozy. The palate is on the thin side, and the carbonation modest. Not outstanding but enjoyable.

this thing is so sickly sweet itís a crime. Like they forgot to put yeast in it. Nauseating. It is really hard to believe how anyone could rate this beer highly. Please please please!!! Listen to me! If you have not tried this yet. No matter how curious you are. No matter how much you like Petrus. I am doing you a favor by warning you not waste your money on this. This is the kind of beer that pisses you off. I am sure you know what I am talking about. Awful!!!!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
02/08 On tap @Pater Marcus, Budapest. Poured hazy brown body with medium to bigger ocher head. Fine caramel aroma with some herbal spices. Fine, slightly sweet flavor, otherwise bitter. Malt was dominated and presented in coffee, dark fruits and licorice way, some yeasty notes were present as well. Cloying, full in body with long finish, where herbal hops are more felt than before. Still sweet as well. Well balanced, with a nice hop tweak. Really a good ale and nothing like dubbel, which is only a plus here.

Bottle from DeCiccos in Harrison, NY. Pour is unexceptional. Little head, faint aroma. Taste is better. Nutty, full bodies start. Slightly sweet finish. Very drinkable.
