Couleur sombre ambrée caramel, petite mousse brune. Nez fort de caramel et malt. Gout de caramel grillé, malté, un peu de sucre candy. Bonne petite pétillance. Fin de bouche un peu trop sucrée au caramel.

Bottle at the Brouwcafe, Schevenigen. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is yeast, roasted malt, burnt toffee, caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth yeast, malt bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel. Not my favourite Dubbel but far from being my least favourite.

Bottle. Deep red with medium short lasting head. Aroma is malty (roasted and dark), raisins, belgian yeasts notes. In taste a similar, light sweet, caramel with notes of brown sugar. I noticed metalic aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbonation.A simple, decent dubbel.

the aroma of caramel, toffee and sweet fruits... the taste of caramel, dark fruits and garden berries with shades of chocolate and spices... the aftertaste is wine and, a little bit, burned... very nice dubbel...

Clear, dark amber. Small, offwhite head. Aroma has yeast, dried fruit, brown sugar. Similar flavour with a little spicyness. Creamy mouthfeel.

beautiful appearance of mahogany colour with ruby notes and half inch creamy beige head; aroma of green apple, dried plum and figs, candy sugar, and some bread;taste of dried fruits, roasted sugar and some hoppy bitterness; would be a perfect dubbel if the taste was at least similarly complex as the aroma

Dark brown, dense head. Light aroma, some notes of dried plum. Sweet taste with plum, hops in the finish. Refreshing carbonation and full body. Well-balanced.

Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is caramel, red fruits, some spices, rather standard. Flavour is no surprise either. Not bad, just boring.

Tasy Belgian dubbel beer. Fruity, malty and of course yeasty. Nice to drink.

330 ml bottle. Deep red, mahogany with medium, short lasting beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel, roasted malt and over-ripe fruit. Sweet flavor of over-ripe fruit, caramel and brown sugar. Oily texture, medium body. Pretty good.

Bottle, 33.3cL. Home. A clear dark brown beer. Mahogany hues at the bottom of my glass. Large creamy beige head. Long persistence. Fruity aroma, caramel, roasted. Heavy sugar sweet, refreshing bitter note. Medium body. Fluffy texture. Average carbonation. Finish starts by a bitter note, then long warming finish. Overall, a good fluffy warming dubbel ! Nice balance.
