UPDATED: MAR 22, 2013 Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: moderate cherry aroma with raisin and leathery overtones. Appearance: small, fizzy, light-brown initial head that quickly disappeared. No lacing. Hazy, flat, red/brown body. Taste: complex. In the initial flavor, I detected a moderate, bread-like and raisiny taste with a hint of alcohol. The finish is lightly sour and also raisin-like. Duration is longer than average. Palate: light body, dry texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Overall: unique and very interesting. I like it.

Not much aroma or my cold is really kicking in. Pours with huge head and lacing. Very caramely tasting.

On tap at World of Beer Easton. Cloudy dark brown with a thick head. Upfront flavors of chocolate and raisin; yeatsty. Sweet. Not much hop presence, but very enjoyable.

Bottle. Murky medium orange-brown body, medium light brown head. Estery nose with toast, toasted caramels, and anise/fennel. Sweet, somewhat tart, toasty body with dark fruits and spice.

Bottle 33cl kindly shared by Calisky. A clear amber brown beer with low head. Nose is intense on toasted caramel and chocolate, red fruits touch too. Aroma is on caramel, barley sugar, metallic touch, grassy bitterness, brown candy sugar. Godd beer a bit too sweet, nice caramel duration at the finish.

Couleur sombre ambrée caramel, petite mousse brune. Nez fort de caramel et malt. Gout de caramel grillé, malté, un peu de sucre candy. Bonne petite pétillance. Fin de bouche un peu trop sucrée au caramel.

Bottle at home. Pours clear brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of caramel, malt and ripe dark fruits. Flavor is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Nice fudge sweet character in the palate. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Nice example of the style.
