On tap. Pours a dark brown/reddish colour with quick fading foam and little carbonation. Was rather on the wrong end of booze when tasting this, however must say it was very sweet, close to overly sweet. Hints of fruits and some yeast.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Clear brown to copper. Velvety, slightly tan head, which remains for at least an hour. Caramel, malt and some wort nose and flavour. Some alcohol nose as well. Soft carbonation. Medium, smooth mouth feel. Sweet, with some bitterness. Not bad, but a bit boring.

Bottle @ home. Brown body with a frothy, brown head. Aroma of caramel, molasses, nuts, roasted malts. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

330ml bottle. Deep copper color. Medium size, yellow head, stays. Toffee, caramel, sweetish, faint malts, creamy aroma. Caramel, mild toffee, mashy malts, faint fruity taste. Burnt caramel malts in aftertaste. Soft to almost no carbonation. Bit weird, but in a good way.

Aroma: intense caramel malts, toffee, syrup. Appearance: clear, dark brown, small, beige, creamy head. Taste: medium sweet. Plate: medium body, lively carbonation, intense sweets continue, very malty, bread, grain cereals. Overall: very nice Abbey Dubbel, incredibly sweet and malty. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn.

Didn’t seem quite like a dubbel, in some ways taste more of a red. On tap at tap and mallet. Sharp fruity nose. Dark, clear reddish. Swirling head. Similar taste to the nose, fruity, cherry dominated. Silky mouthfeel. One dimensional. Good, not great.

Lekker veel caramel. Mooie balans van zoet en bitter. Ziet er prachtig uit, mooi bijna zwart bier. Schuim donker, blijft niet te lang staan. @het voske Breda ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cola to ruby brown beer, beige head. Nose is dried fruit, figs, burned sugar. Flavor is dried fruit, sugary sweetness, malt, some hoppy bitterness in the finish. Cold be a touch more substantial. Bottle shared by martjoobolut, thanks!

Bonne corpulence, effervescence moyenne. Pas mal.
