Pours a deep hazy brown with minimal slight off-white head. aromas of straw, light citrus, wood, apples and honey. Flavors aren’t as dry on the palate as most of the sour ales i’ve had. Apples, spice and pineapple dominate the palate as the flavor lingers on the palate. A light to medium bodied brew that would pair well with a good hearty meaty meal.. Nice oaky finish..

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2014 Rerate 2/2013. +++ Sampled on draft this beer poured a hazy brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy tan head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart, sour and tangy with faint vinegar followed by maltiness, toffee, caramel, cherry, tart fruits, soy sauce and Sweettart candies. The flavor was dryish and tart with notes of caramel, bread, Sweettart candies, chalk, toffee, dark fruits, must and cola. Medium tart finish with lingering caramel, toffee and Sweettart candies. Moderately full bodied though a bit undercarbonated. Nicely complex.

Dark clear copper color with a light tan head. Light yeast aroma. Taste of sourness strikes first followed by malt/fruit sweetness. Light and bubbly on the tongue. Finishes with a fruity sourness. A decent beer for sourness.

Had on tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Chattanooga. Sweet, raspberry aroma, very pleasant. Light red appearance with a good thick mocha colored head. Delectable sour flavor, reminds me of sweet tarts. Raspberry flavor comes across as natural, not contrived. Has a good mouthfeel, wakes up your tastebuds

Pours reddish brown, good sized tan head. Sourish malty aroma. The flavor is slighlty tart, moreso at the finish than upfront. Very nice mouthfeel.

Reddish brown with lasting lace. Soft on tongue. Not too strong in alcohol and pronounced cherry tart taste, which could be worse. Carbonation and malt balance. Sour but pleasant aftertaste. Cheers Jercraigs for the sample.

Aroma: Winey aroma, some alcohol. Some sherryish notes, and some oak aroma also in there. No hop aroma-fine for style.
Appearance: Quickly disappearing head with large bubbles. Clarity ok. Murky reddish color.
Flavor: Winey, vinous flavor with some metallic notes. No hop, which is fine for style. Flavor tastes cherryish, probably from the oak or extreme carmelization. The caramelish flavor is very pleasing.
Mouthfeel: Very, very slight sourness, accompanied by some alcohol warmth.
Overall: Nice beer, not sour or acidic to the point of hard-to-drink, would have had another bottle if I had one.
