(11.2oz bottle thanks to BMan1113VR) clear medium ruby-brown with nose of light oat, malty sweet, no sourness and some mild funk and honey. Charred barrel and brown sugar are present in the nose as well. Taste of funk, light brown sugar, cherry, light wood, with a smooth creamy finish.

Bottle. Dark caramel pour. Funky aroma of horse blanket, lemon, and peach. Little flavor of oak and cherry. The flavor is distant and watery. I love sours, but the ones that have sharp noses and no flavor are such a tease.

330mL bottle, pours a dark cola brown with a small fizzy beige head. Sweet and sour malt aroma, with oak, cherry and vanilla. Flavour of mildly sour cherries, with a touch of sweetness - quite muted and water mouthful. Rather one-dimensional and unimpressive.

33cl bottle. Couldn’t fool Kayla with this one. She knows her sours. Cherry color win a small dying head. Oxidized fruits and vinegar with some dried rotting fruit and caramel malt. Lightly sweet and caramelly with a papery oxidized finish and light acidity. Watery. Blah.

01/08/2010 - 33 cl bottle @ Heeren van Liedekercke

Pours a cloudy dark brown beer with a light beige head. Aroma is caramel, sweet and somewhat smokey. Mouthfeeling is a little flat. Taste is a little sweet at first, followed by some sourness and roasted flavours, woodsmoke as well. Aftertaste is a little sourness with a lot of coffee bitter.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2011 Bottle, thanks to bman113vr. Pours a deep, clear, dark amber with a beige head. Aromaof sour cherry and faint oak. Flavor is a bit different, some faint tartness, watered down cherry and light toast. Mouth feel is light-medium body, very watery with fizzy carbonation. Overall, it was ok.

Bottle, 10C. Brooding red brown with a brief beige head. Aroma of sweet apples, brown sugar, vinegar must, vanilla. Taste has a little acid right up front, then very gentle sugary sweetness. Finishes dry with wood and cherry stones. Rather watery. More acidic than it smells and the sweetness and mustiness seem to pretty much disappear. Pleasant enough but very thin.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a fair amount of head. Slightly sour malty flavor with a quick finish.
