3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Oaky aroma with acidic tartness, light leather, bready malt
Pours a brownish red amber color that is see through. Small bubbly off white head
Oaky flavor, quick tart bite that fades, kind of like chewing on a piece of wood with some fruit sugar on it.
Light bodied, high co2, very dry. Woody quick finish. Tannins.
Interesting beer to try. Not really interesting enough for me to want to buy again, but I did enjoy it. A bit bland

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: clear deep amber with a short tan head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: sour cherries, candi sugar, red berries, woody, vinegar. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, moderate tart. (7/10) Palate: medium body, lively to moderate carbonation, dry tart finish. (4/5)
Quite a mellow sour, but balanced and even-handed. The aroma has a distinct but not overwhelming vinegar, which follows through on the tongue as a mild and pleasant tang. I would definitely enjoy this more if it were more aggressive, but I can see the attraction of a mellow sour, too. (14/20)

From bottle at the Bier Markt. Aromas and flavours of sour cherries and wine gums. Very sour! This was a nice beer but something I can only drink periodically in small quantities.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Hazy ruby brown our with no head. Somewhat syrupy body. Glossy edges. Sourish. Rich sour cherry sugar candy. Plum pudding. Black forest gummy bears. Chocolate liquor. Strawberry Twizlers.7mTootsie Pops. Blackberries and purple passionfruit. Though complex, flavors still feels a bit artificial. The regular aged Petrus remains my favorite.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Clear brown colour with red reflexes, minimal white head with decent lacing. Aroma is sour cherry, red wine, a bit of wood. Lightly sour. Lively carbonation, light body. It’s a rather simple beer and not aggressive, so I guess it might be good for people with little experience with sour beer. For me - quite ok.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.33l bottle. Reddish dark brown body, light brown head. Aroma of caramel, sour cherry, cloves, lemon zest and burnt sugar. You can feel the sourness from it but it’s quite mellow, not the type that roundhouse kicks you in the face for the first sniff. The taste has a sweet caramel base and on top of that some sour cherry, red wine vinegar, floral hops and lemon zest. Medium bodied with a low carbonation. Not so intense beer, but quite smooth and easy to drink. I like it.

33cl bottle bb09/2016. Luminous burgundy-mahogani pour. Alas rather flat and damp like thaw water in aroma: raspberry oak cloaked by shades of speciality dark caramalts, Burnt toast and oaken floorboards - very little or inexpressive cured dark balsamico notes here. Taste is about the same mild, diluted rendition of that, sweet and sour only balanced because there is much of neither. Much like a Ruby Port cordial lemonade with a red berry/arabica bitter finish, making this an even milder entry-level Oud Bruin than Rodenbach. Still better quality than all the other local watering options like mixing Fritz Cola and Pils, - Had expected something more quenchingly dry and tart on a hot day like this...

Poured from a bottle. Deep red. Not the best example of a Flanders ale. Good but not up to Belgian standards - but still a 3.8
