3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rando7 (448) - Iowa, USA - MAY 3, 2010
Bottle pour to Trappist glass gives clear medium brown with off-white head that dissipates quickly. OK lacing. Aroma is tart and a bit sour. Taste dark fruits with sweet malts creeping in and a gentle sour finish. Mouth feel bubbly.
I am no expert in this style but it seems just OK.

Very nice mellow and complex aroma. The flavor has dark fruit, light tartness, oak, and sour cherries. Everything is well blended and nothing is drowned out. I like this more than the overly sour beers that are usually highly rated.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Blake (396) - Orange, California, USA - APR 24, 2010
Had from bottle from Total Wine & More. Pours a dark brown with hints of red and a tan head with good lacing. The aroma is tart which belies the subtleness of the sourness in the flavor. Other aromas of malts and fruits - cherries, raspberries... Tastes of a brown ale - malts, oak, slightly sour and more oak than I expected. With the tart aroma, I expected a more pronounced sour flavor, but it’s quite demure with just slight undertones. Very enjoyable, drinkable, and tasty.

dark ruby pour with a off white head. Aroma is dusty oak with some fruity sweetness. Flavor follows through, not much sour going on in this one. Just sort of falls flat on the finish.

Served into a champagne flute from a 22 ounce bottle at a local beer tasting event. Dark brown in color. A small head recedes to nothing very quickly and then it looks kind of flat. Sweet malt aroma with oak and sherry tones. A little bit of tart sourness combined with some malty sweetness. Nice mellow sour finish. Mouthfeel is better than the appearance would indicate - the beer is creamy and carbonated.
The "sourness" in this beer is more laid-back and enjoyable, imho. It’s much more drinkable than big sour beers such as the Petrus Aged Pale.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 arminjewell (2445) - Parker, Colorado, USA - APR 9, 2010
Not really sour, but a nice vinegary brown ale with some roasted notes, a nice thick lasting off white head, and a fairly sweet finish. Not bad for the price.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2010
A- deep reddish brown body with thin white head. Head fades and leaves behind plenty of lacing in the glass.
S- sweet/sour smell. Nice malty backbone.
T- Sweet dark fruity taste upfront with good malt backbone. The taste then becomes somewhat tart and sour. Finish is similar to the sweet fruity beginning.
P- Low carbonation with a a thin-somewhat watery mouthfeel. Goes down very smooth.
O- This was interesting and very different. I’d order it again. Sweet and sour but not as intense as a fruit lambic.
Serving type: on-tap
