Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

Cerise beer with a decent head that leaves some lacing. The aroma: delicate notes of dark fruits, vinous, some wood that from time to time changes miracously into... smoked note, cherry - the aroma is good, interesting but definitely too subtle. Vinous sourness in the taste seems to be allright but again asks for more intensity. The finish is a bit disturbing due to an irritating note of metal. Luckily, the latter vanishes into thin air when the beer warms up. Imperfect as it is, the beer is still good enough to enjoy it, although - to be fair and square - I’ve tried a way better sour ales than this one.

Color is dark amber, small, white head. Aroma of wine and a little bit of cherries. Vinous taste, maybe a little bit woody, but only in background. Very sour.

Not a huge fan of sour beers, but this one had enough sweetness to balance it out

01.04.15. Delicate aroma of wine acidity. Medium off-white head quickly disappearing to thin layer. Clear dark ruby colour. Pleasant but not very intensive fruity and winy acidity in taste.

Dark red/brown color with a quickly dissapating head. Nice aroma of caramel, sour red fruits. Mouthfeel is nice and well balanced. Not too bitter. Flavors of red, dark fruits, slight roasty or bready maltiness with a toasted character to it. Slight vanilla. The aroma tells me there’s gonna be tons of sourness, but theres not too much sourness on the palate, really.
