Appearance: Dark, redish brown. Quite a lot of head. Aroma: Dark fruits. Taste: Pretty fruity, dry, though sweet... Some sourness. Info: 330ml bottle, 11/3-2007, 158/500

Bottle, has a very coarse bubbled head- smells like oaken root beer, wildflowers- some metallic smells like cupric oxide, inner tubes- taste is far sweeter than other bruins, acidity is sadly only a backdrop to some very tutti-frutti type stuff- body is somewhat malty bordering on watery, a bit of a disappointment but drinkable-

Pour was brown with a fine light tan head. Aroma was lightly bitter with sweet malt, caramel, and a hint of sourness. The sourness came out a little more in the flavor but was still balanced real well. Beer itself was real smooth. Good brew. Would buy again.

Fruity, skunky sour smell. Dark red-brown with a fluffy off-white head which leaves great lacing. Taste is very mild...I mean very. Not bitter or even very fruity. Some malt and very slight raisin/fig flavour. Easy to drink, but could be more complex and interesting.

33cl bottle from Habersham Liquors (Savannah, GA). Pours a dark brown to black with a one finger tan head that recedes quickly but still laces the glass. Smells sweet and sour with notes of vinegar, ripe dark fruit, and yeasty bread. Taste is sweet malt, vinegar, oak, and bread with hints of sour cherry and vanilla. Interesting sour ale.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle and was a nice dark brown color, not at all hazy. There was a good carbonation, but no head on the beer, not sure if that is common for sour ales, possibly because I used a pilsner glass instead of a snifter. There was a pleasing aroma, but it was nothing exciting. Mostly malty, sweet, fruity with maybe some hints of cherries. The flavor was outstanding, just wonderful and complex. There was a very nice well rounded sourness with hints of cherry and chocolate, that blended well with a very subtle hop presence. There were times when the bitterness stood out more than others, mostly as the beer warmed toward the middle of the glass. The beer started out very mellow and balanced, moved toward bitter then finished out sweet. I even went back to the bottle and finished the dregs. The beer feels comfortable in my mouth like it should be there. The alcohol is barely present, which at 5.5% is deceiving. What an awesome beer, I’ll definately come back to this beer again. I haven’t had too many sour ales, but this is an excellent beer. I think this would make an awesome beer for anyone looking to get more into sour ales...a starter beer.

Draft at Akkurat in Stockholm (thanks again Johan!) Refreshing is the key word with this beer. Bags of light berry and cherry fruit flavours with enough acidity to make it extremely thirst quenching but without setting your teeth on edge. Attractive chestnut brown colour. Uplifting!
