Thanks to matt7215 for this beer. Pours a clear red and brown body with a off-white head. The aroma is full of light sour notes, much like a red wine. The taste was quite nice; oak, a light sourness that remains through the finish, a sweet cherry and dark fruit mix, bursting with flavor but the sourness almost makes it seem dry. Really enjoyable and interesting.

Wonderful Experience. Nice malty nose with slight sour hints. Tart sourness along with sweet malty backbone. Hops balanced but not very apparent. Nice esters of prune, date and raisin and slight cirtus zest.

Bottle, poured very dark burgundy brown, even orange tones, with semi-sustained 1/4 inch beige head. light lacing. Nose of sweet fruits with hint of toasted malts and slight yeast. The flavor is very sweet and sour, cherries. Pretty good but tends to thin out in the end.

(on bottle) Dark, clear, red, small white head. Kærnemælkssød and some maltbonbons too. High carbonation, small woody taste, lightly some sour grapes too. Grat fresh/sour session beer I´d say.

Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 19, 2008
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Acidic, malty nose with wood, dried fruit and prunes. Sourish, malty, slightly vinous taste with notes of dried fruit, raisins and prunes, hints of dark bread. Low bitterness, medium body, some remaining sweetness. A decent, well balanced flemish sour ale, but doesn’t reach the levels of Verhaeghe and Rodenbach.

Opaque dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma of sherry, oak, vanilla. Fruity flavor with a subtle sourness. Vinous notes, oak, yeast, bread, tart apple. Light in body and mouthfeel, sort of creamy. Very nice and very drinkable.
