330ml bottle. Snifter. Deep amber or mahogany with a thin head. Aroma was of sour cherries and malt. Taste was quite sour with notes of green apples and vinegar. Thin mouthfeel. This one isn’t for me.

The color was a deep amber red. The head was creamy, thin/medium bodied and light beige. The aroma was sour, fermented fruit, grapes, and somewhat aged. The flavor was not as tart as the aroma suggested. IT was tart, fermented fruit and some bitterness. The palate was smooth and the finish, clean.

Poured a very dark brew that shows deep red under light. The head is thick, quasi-frothy, dirty white. The aroma seems subdued, tart and sour, very sharp. The flavor is also tart and sour with cherryish notes. The palate is acidic and bubbly.

The Dan Journal #59. Tasted Nov 2006. 12oz bottle. Light brown murky hue. Aromas of vinegar. Tart cherries and vanilla. Nicely malty with a nice sour tart fruit flavor. Little light for the style.

this was my intro to the flemish sour style. I didnt do much research on the beer before trying it, and man i weas thrown back by the sourness. Its tame compared to other sour beers, but its nice, and subtle. You can still get alot fo the malt, and a tad of the hops, and the balance is really nice.

This beer is balanced and fine overall, but there is nothing of interest. There are vague hints of good Flemish sours--some sour apple. A little bitterness, a little wood. I can’t say I see what the point is.

On tap at Liars Club. Has a reddish brown color with lots of carbonation. Weird aroma of heavy plum, caramel, oak, pear and cherries. Initial flavor is extremely sweet and malty with a nose of more caramel and plum. Starts to fade very quickly with the sour acidic finish with a yeasty brettanomyces undertone. Reminded me of drinking Lemon Coca-Cola. Not that great of a brew, but very drinkable.
