Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with big gluffy offwhite head. Lots of dry old wood, hints of grapes, prune, roasted malts. Very light sour over a faint brown sugar backbone, outcome in the middle is a bit blank, leaning towards cardboard, but not like some other unfortunate brews. Very creamy, nice fizz going on, body is quite thin. Quite a nice beer with an old timey feeling. Not remarkable but I like this!

Denne Petrus har et mørkt brunt og uklart udseende med et svagt hvidt skum. Øllen har både en aroma og smag af sød og syrlig frugt, samt noter af karamel og malt. Lav karbonering.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle. Amber brown with reddish hues and a beige head. Aroma includes cherry, oak, malt. Taste is sour, but not overwhelmingly so. Cherry, wood, and malt. Some sweetness to balance the tartness. Decent.

Aroma: cherry with sweet and sour undertones; not as Robitussin-like as other Petrus beer; Apperance: very dark brown/red with frothy head that dissipates quickly; a little lacing; Taste: sour dominates with some sweet cherry notes; refreshing; Palate: medium body; lively carbonation; long, sweet finish; as temperature rises the hops start coming through along with a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste; Overall: a nice sour though I would like a little more complexity. Would buy again if looking for a drinkable sour that isn’t too overwhelming.

330ml bottle into tulip. Pretty decent for the style. Nice aroma, fruit and sit notes. Typical appearance. Body was a little thin. Flavor less complex than expected.

Bottle split at home, 21/11/15. Rich chestnut brown with reddish hues topped with a decent beige covering. Nose is tarte red berry, light funk, spices, wood must, apple core decay. Taste comprises tarte fruit, sharp red berry, damp straw, light farmyard, cherry skin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light acidic rise in the close. Ok Flanders red.

Brown tint on a red base with light carbonation and an off white head. Smelled of mild brown malts and sour peaches. Has a good caramel sweetness and then some tart sour peaches come in. Pretty good balance could use time.
