3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MacDouglass (88) - Illinois, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Aroma: heavy corn mash, wheat-bread crust, slight dish rag, I love the aroma; Appearance: slightly transparent brown, like most nut brown ales I’ve seen, heavy bubble action upon pour that, if you leave it alone, will result in a rootbeer float like head; Taste: initial impression is a good sour that you expect, but, after the initial impression, you start to kind of taste a sort of subtle apple cidery flavour, this is my 2nd bottle of this brew, and, maybe I’m nuts, but this one tastes more watered down than the first one, I wonder how much variability there is bottle to bottle in this brew, anyone know?; Palate: a slight mouth watering sour, you can pull out the hops only in the aftertaste, in my opinion; Overall: this is my last bottle of this brew, I would have liked to have tried a couple more because I’m confused in that I liked the 1st bottle a lot more than the second, nonetheless, I’m becoming a big fan of sour ales, and for that reason, I am well pleased and will give this beer a good rating

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beerathon (586) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Poured like a ruby brown root beer float. Fluffy khaki head. Not overly sour, which was palatable for me. My friends is trying to convert me one sour ale at a time and it’s starting to work.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Scopey (3229) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2012
Bottle at home. It pours deep brown with a purplish hue and quickly dissipating thick beige head. The nose is oak, musty, dust, barnyard and a touch of vinegar. The taste is wood, dark fruit, plum skin, faint cherry, light tanginess, vinous aspect, pithy lemon and dull sweetness with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Disappointing lack of any real sourness. Not bad, just rather forgettable.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cooplander (543) - Florida, USA - DEC 7, 2012
muddy red color, aroma of barnyard funk, tart fruits, vinegar, dark fruits, oak, flavors are the same, med body, light on the sour which makes it easy to drink
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 AlastairEvans (3) - - DEC 7, 2012 does not count
Palate is a little off, good for a top fermented beer. I prefer the Petrus aged pale.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beerenberger (779) - Fischer, Texas, USA - NOV 29, 2012
The nose is initially a little barnyard funk which givse way to a slight fruity sweetness. Malts and a woodiness is also present. A dark ruby brown pour with a mostly diminishing large tan head and fine lacing. The taste is a mildly sweetish-sour combo. Some oak, grain, and hints of dark red fruit. The sourness, sadly, is not as predominate as in Petrue Aged Ale. Medium-light body with average carbonation. The flavor is quick. Overall, enjoyable but not a winner. (Sampled this after drinking Petrus Agrd Ale - may have
Influenced my rating.)
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bcoble003 (206) - Aiea, Hawaii, USA - NOV 22, 2012
Out of bottle smells of citrus tastes of multiple fruits pretty good I just don't think 3.50 for 1 bottle is worth it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 flemdawg (509) - Naples, Florida, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Brown body with red highlights when held up to the light. Small head of tightly packed small off white bubbles. Sour cherries in the aroma and some fresh green apples. Understated sour flavor some hints of cherries and a bit of maltiness. Some woody flavors as it warms.. Rather thin on the palate and fairly bubbly.
