Bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso in Old Town the other day. Served in a tulip alongside Petrus Aged Pale.
Pours a rusty amber color with a short off-white head and a few spots of lacing on the sides of the glass. The nose carries some light bready malt and a bit of caramel. Amber malt. Some cherry and very light oak and acidity. The flavor brings some moderate malt and a touch of sweetness with light fruits. No real oak or acidity. Way, way off style. I don’t get much of even a note of sourness out of this one. While I’m up for interpretation of styles, if you’re going to call a beer an "Oud Bruin," it’d better have something more than light malt and a touch of fruit going on.

Fruchtiger, saurer Geruch. Das Bier startet direkt Mittel-sauer, alle anderen Aromen werden verdrängt. Das Bier wirkt auch sonst recht langweilig und wässrig. Selbst die erhofften fruchtigen Aromen können nur ab und an im Hintergrund ausgemacht werden. Im Nachgeschmack ist neben einem holzigen Aroma ein an faule Eier erinnerder Geschmack auszumachen. Eins der schlechtesten belgischen Biere bisher.

Bottle; pour is murky dark brown with a frothy beige head that retains fairly modestly; I was expecting a maltier aged pale. I got a mediocre brew in its place. I don’t even get the point; nutty, cocoa, florals, vanilla, but its just so watered down. The sour is so mediocre. Not impressed; especially after aged pale.

Bottle thanks to swalden28. Poured dark brown with a beige head. Aroma was cherry, grape, chocolate, and grain. Flavor was cherry, chocolate, and caramel/grain. Body was light and fizzy.

Cola colored, muddy with amodest head and nice lacing, nice balance of sweet sour with dried fruits, just a little bitter lingering finish, very slightly metallic on Tap at Sharp Edge

Reddish brown with lasting lace. Soft on tongue. Not too strong in alcohol and pronounced cherry tart taste, which could be worse. Carbonation and malt balance. Need more acidy especially having this after the BA pale petrus

Petite bouteille de 330ml achetée à Burlington. Le liquide est rouge-brun avec une belle couche de mousse brune au sommet. Le nez est classique de brune des Flandres avec un peu de funk, de cerises et d sucre. Il est très invitant. La bouche manque de caractère, elle est légère. Il manque de suret, elle est facile à boire. Un produit d’initiation au bières sures.
