Aroma: heavy corn mash, wheat-bread crust, slight dish rag, I love the aroma; Appearance: slightly transparent brown, like most nut brown ales I’ve seen, heavy bubble action upon pour that, if you leave it alone, will result in a rootbeer float like head; Taste: initial impression is a good sour that you expect, but, after the initial impression, you start to kind of taste a sort of subtle apple cidery flavour, this is my 2nd bottle of this brew, and, maybe I’m nuts, but this one tastes more watered down than the first one, I wonder how much variability there is bottle to bottle in this brew, anyone know?; Palate: a slight mouth watering sour, you can pull out the hops only in the aftertaste, in my opinion; Overall: this is my last bottle of this brew, I would have liked to have tried a couple more because I’m confused in that I liked the 1st bottle a lot more than the second, nonetheless, I’m becoming a big fan of sour ales, and for that reason, I am well pleased and will give this beer a good rating

12 oz. bottle. It pours a nice dark brown color with ruby highlights and a creamy tan head. The aroma is very pleasant with some sweet black cherry and oak. Maybe a touch of leather. The flavor is a bit disappointing with berry/cherry maltiness and not much oak or sour. Very fizzy and weak body. Minor oak and minerals near the finish. This started out pretty good, but then failed to deliver.

Cerveja muito respeitada, mas sinceramente está nos entre meus estilos preferidos, gosto de vinagre, se a gente faz uma cerveja caseira com essas características certamente vão falar em contaminação, azeda demais, um verdadeiro "vinagre belga".

Had it out of a bottle, poured a brownish head with a light head and a pungent hop sour aroma and a sour finish.

(Bottle 75 cl) Dark brown, untransparent color. Brown, medium sized, creamy head. Medium body, a bit creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Aroma is winey, funky, with oak barels aromas and basement with notes of red fruits. Taste is good balanced with soft to medium strong sourness and notes of caramel malts. Dry but not watery beer with interesant character of red wine.

Head: beige, medium, creamy, sparkling and poor retention. Colour: deep amber-brown brandy-like, clear. Aroma: sharp wild yeast, wine, dried fruit sweetness. Taste: Wine, not as acidic as our sour ales. Some mild bitterness in the finish. The thinner body and faint bitterness makes it really drinkable.

11.2 oz bottle on sale at "Lifesource" in Salem ( i got the last bottle.) $2.99 Huge tan head on pouring..even carefully atop a red/brown ale. Sweet and sour aromas..a mild balsamic vinegar mixed with red fruit..mostly raspberry nice. Thick caramel malts and mild fruity vinegar flavours..finished tart like sour apple..getting a bit od oak in the end . Nice not as sour as others but tastes "ancient" somehow. Nice balanced mouthfeel carries the beer well. Nice balanced ( if there can be such a thing) sour

cloudy brown with a hint of red, fluffy tan head and nice lacing. vinegar, cherry, raisin, lemon. light sourness for the style. light body, thin feel, lively carb. the light sour makes it easily drinkable, but it’s a bit of a letdown after the aroma.

Bottle from Artisan Wine Depot. Reddish-brown in color Aroma is vinegar, vinous notes, and sweet grapes. Nice light oak. The sweetness gives it a rich old ale character with mild sourness. Quite thin but it adds to the appealing nature. Really it is an Alt ale to me because of how mild it is.

This one poured a reddish brown color with a small beige head. Aroma was of apple cider vinegar, hay, and tart cherries. Flavor was similar, sweter than I was expecting and more or less a one dimensional sour.
