4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rich reddish brown with a tan head, medium retention. Light aromas of tart cherries, very little malt aroma, no hops present. Very crisp and light, leaves your mouth watering. Flavors are subtly tart cherries with the slightest sweetness and barely noticeable bitterness for balancing.
Not the most tart Oud Bruin you’ll find, but it’s very drinkable and has no noticeable faults. A great introduction into sours.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear caramel colour, beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, nuts, cherry, kvas, light apple. Very light sour flavour, somewhat sweet, caramel, wood notes. Finish wood and malts. Not bad, but could do with a bit more of a kick imho.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 10/3/2013. Pours lightly hazy very dark ruby red color with a 2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grape, pear, apple, raisin, cherry, oak, clove, red wine, vinegar, herbal, hay, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity and solid balance of fruity/funky yeast and oak barrel notes; with solid strength. Taste of grape, pear, apple, cherry, raisin, red wine, vinegar, oak, musty funk, herbal, hay, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Minimal tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, cherry, raisin, red wine, vinegar, musty funk, oak, hay, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Nice complexity and balance of fruity/funky yeast flavors; with decent flavor robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good Flanders brown. Nice balance/complexity and decent robustness of yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
ApariBuen aroma, ligeramente acido, vinagre, madera.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home. Promising sour aroma. Flavour not as sour or sweet as expected. Quite thin and subtle. A gentler version Rodenbach ideal for a beginner!

12oz bottle pours semi clear dark chestnut brown with finger of off-white head. Nose is tart woody cola, berry. Taste is sour cola, oak, light funk, meaty, crisp, earthy, light acidity. Finish is tart sweet oak and earthy dark berry. Very thirst-quenching, solid mid-level sour. Nothing mind-blowing but doesn’t do anything wrong.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
A well crafted beer, however its just eh for me. Very drinkable and not bad by any means, but not memorable either. A little more tart or sour could’ve really made this beer shine. Petrus has better beers, but again it’s not a bad beer...just eh.
