2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: APR 21, 2013 UPDATE (2013-02-27): Please be cautious as there seems to be some wild bottle variations. Some of the bottles from my case tasted like skunky mushrooms (not good) while others were much less problematic with an enjoyable sour. I’m taking down my rating from 3.4 to 2.7 only to emphasize that.
Pours reddish brown with a nice layer of white foam that leaves pretty lacing patterns. Nose is pretty tame with light balsamic notes and maybe a little cherry. Mouthfeel is thinner than expected but at least carbonation is just right so it doesn’t enhance that perception. It ends up bone dry which I appreciate. Overall a light and refreshing drink. Not bad at all, just not up there. Oh and I forgot to mention, this is not sour to me. Only the tinyest sour shows up mid-palate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a very average oud bruin. Pours a nice mahogany. Aromas are some cherry and oak - but quite muted. Flavours are also subdued sour cherry and oak - a little sweet, sour, and bitter. But just a little...unfortunate. Not that punchy. very average.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer is tied with Monk’s for my favorite Flemish Ale to date. It features a lot of cherry aroma and flavor with a more subdued tartness and acidity.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a medium hazy brown with a tan head. It has a nice, slightly funky aroma with some oak and dark fruit. The flavor is also slightly funky, with a semisweet malt backbone and a faintly tart finish.

Appearance - brown
Aroma - nice fruity funk
Mouth - high carb. Nice bite.
Taste - has that sweet tart hit like a champagne. Not in your face tart or funk. Nice but a bit dry and light.
Overall - very good but I like other sites much more. This is a bit light for me and borders on that champagne like mouth.

New rubber, with currant and apple core highlights, tart. Clear rust colored, thick tan head. Low tartness, low character. Apple core is dominant. Subtle woodiness in the finish, but not really oaky. Really mild, light bodied, somewhat spritzy. Could be much better. To quote Elivs Costello, "Pump it Up!"
