Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

11.2 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown with red highlights and a big head that dissipates quickly with not much lacing. Aroma is sour cherries and brown sugar. Taste is slightly tart with sour cherries and then sweet with toffee and brown sugar.

Clear dark brown in color with small-ish foam. Aromas sour and tart of oak and fruits. Palate medium body with lightish finish. Taste not as tart and sour as aromas were but still somewhat tart and fruity although weak in flavour. Overall it si vary basic rating from tonights memory as was unable to rate at the time. But beer was not amazing or leaving impression.

Bottle from wine seller, Compton. Dark brown beer with small head. Aroma of red wine vinegar and a little dark malt. Taste is vinegar notes, red wine barrel, dark fruit and a little caramel. Slightly sour finish. Decent.

0.33 l bottle from ’Bierwinkel’ (Gent), best before March 2018, MJ500 #100. Clear, very dark red with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish, minimally sourish, moderately fruity aroma of caramel, red wine, vinegar and cherries. Sweetish, minimally sourish, a bit fruity taste of caramel, cherries as well as slightly hints of vinegar, oak and some red wine, followed by a short, just slightly bitter, minimally sourish finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay, bottle might not have been in the best condition.

Strong aroma with notes of tart acid and some sweet malts. Pours a reddish brown with a thin beige foam. The flavor is complex and balanced with a good vinous end. The malt gives it a smooth, woody richness that gives over to the dry fruit. Medium body, little fizz with a good, long finish.

AROMA: Moderate sourness in nose with nature cherry-like scent. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Beautiful mahogany hue; mostly clear. Fairly large, light tan foam laces well. 3/3

FLAVOR: Malt-centric palette though sourness is a major flavor component. General amber/dark malt taste, though none stand out individually. Slight cherry note as it finishes. Faint peppery hop character, otherwise mild. 13/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body; low CO2. Slightly flat sensation though very smooth. Tart finish is pleasant, but it fades away quickly and cleanly. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: A well-made brew albeit a bit boring. 7/10

Pours dark chestnut brown with a puffy medium beige head, excellent retention. Rich malty aroma: caramel, biscuit, with citrus, yeast, and fig. Medium-light body, smooth, medium carbonation. Medium sweet, lightly sour, faintly bitter finish. Refined and subtle, enjoyable.

Aroma has dark malt, some brown sugar and a hint of balsamic vinegar. Taste starts a bit tart and acidic, continues with toasted malt and finishes quite balanced with a hint of bitterness. Body is on the light side and has a medium to high effervescence. Not bad, easy drinking and slightly tart but it lacks the complexity that other beers of this style have.

5.5%ABV. Sour Brown. Poured out brown. 28ºSRM. Nose has whisky sweetness with a hint of fruity sour. Mature acetic aroma. The fruity sweetness still reminds of dates and plum preserves. Mouthfeel is watery. Palate has dark malty flavors, mature woody flavors, light brown sugar. There is a light dry sour to the palate. Finish is woody and dry.

Piwo klarowne w kolorze brunatno-rubinowym z ladna piana ktora znika bez sladu. W aromacie kwasnosc i beczka, wisnie i lekko dzikie. W smaku balans miedzy kwasem a lekka slodycza, raczej bez goryczki z wysokim wysyceniem. Czuc wino i cierpkosc na jezyku. Zostaje posmak beczkowy. Wypite ze smakiem.

Cerveja bem interessante,ao mesmo tempo complexa fácil de beber,aprovada.
