Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

Bottle poured very dark burgundy brown, even orange tones, with semi-sustained 1/4 inch beige head. light lacing. Nose of sweet fruits with hint of toasted malts and slight yeast. The flavor is very sweet and sour, cherries. Pretty good but tends to thin out in the end.

Pours a murky red with a foamy thick off white head. Nose is slight sour cherry and some dense woodiness with some old sock and bretty nose. Flavor is sour and funky up front finishes with a hint of cherry and a unpleasant metallic taste. Its light but its still detracting. Could have been great but as it was, merely adequate.

Pours a dark ruby red with a small head but very lacy. Smells very very fruity. Sour apple with an underlying sweetness. A bit of malt. Taste is appley and yeasty but a bit watery. Better as it warms. Gets more sour and a bit maltier. Still tastes a bit like watered down Goudenband. Quite thin body and not much aftertaste. This is OK but could be a bit more flavorful.

Very small fizzy head, with little lacing. Colour is a medium ro dark red. Aroma dominated by fruit: prune, date and cherry. Also some red wine in there, Kind of sourish, but not too much. Nice and easy going beer. Body is kind of light and kind of dry.

[bottle] Murky brown in color, with a solid tan head. Funky aroma--woody malt and dark fruit, slight vinegar. Mild sour character in the flavor, with dominating vanilla and oak. Medium bodied. Quite drinkable.

Very "polite" sour ale. Medium bodied, reddish-brown. The acetic aroma could be more perceptible. Initially nice frothy head after several minutes descends completely. Dark fruits in taste with some sour flavour. Overall nice beer but nothing special.
