aroma has strong sour character and some background sweet/floral action. pours a deep brown with tan head...good lacing. Flavor is not as sour as aroma would indicate: instead, malty, with a little nuttiness, and very smooth. excellent flemish brown.

Since it's Bastille Day, I thought that I would drink a Belgium beer (as I fart in your general direction). Strong plum aroma which seems to accompany other ale aged in oak casks. Dark reddish-brown color with little head. On first taste, it lacks character - a bit tart but no real flavors and a bit watery. I'll let this warm up a bit and try again later. It's later. A little more taste and bitterness. Sweet apple and chocolate. This could be a very nice starter ale for somebody trying flemish sours as it doesn't overpower.

Bottle. Pours copper brown with a small, quickly diminishing beige head. Aroma is mild sour apple with some earthy notes. Flavor is initially tart and acidic with sweet caramel toffe notes coming in quickly before a lightly soured fruit finish. Very drinkable.

Nice beer, poured a redish brown with soft white head slight iron on the palate and on the nose flavour is slightly reminiscient of black doris plum seeds mixed with a sourish note. Very dry on the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma was tart with a strong acidity and an oak presence. The aroma was earthy and had hints of estery cherry character. Some light presence of chocolate was notable as well. The beer poured into the glass clear medium brown with a white low head that did lace the glass. The flavor was grainy and lightly tart with a citrusy acidity. A light presence of chocolate was notable and a tart cherry character coupled with a nice presence of oak. The finish went dry with lasting impressions of fruit and oak. The body was medium light and with a decent level of carbonation the beer was quite refreshing. A nice beer, nothing complex, but still a nice thirst quenching bottle. 25 cl bottle. 17 06 04
