COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

A deep brown beer with reddish hues and a decent head of foam. Notes of candi sugar, yeast, and a light tartness in the smell. Some of the brown ale hits my palate to start. Followed by a wee bit of the candi sugar, yeast, and a very mild sour taste or two. Light body and lots of carbonation make for a so so mouthfeel.

Bottle. Healthy-looking deep brown. Unusual aroma is difficult to break down, with hints of chocolate, lemon and steel layered over a sour malt body. Tight, fizzy palate could use more malt to flesh things out. Sour chocolate flavour is nuanced by a herbaceous/celery element. Slight bitter finish. Different and worth trying again.

Brązowe piwo z puszystą ale niezbyt obfitą pianą i słodowym aromatem czerwonych owoców. W smaku wodniste, owocowe i kwaskowe, lekko przypalane z bardzo łagodną, pestkową goryczką na finiszu.

Bottle, 330ml. A dark brown colour with a good head. Aroma of brown sugar, blackcurrant, caramel and hops. Taste has roasted malt, blackcurrant, a little oak, citric hops and cocoa. A little sourness in the finish. An interesting and enjoyable brew.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy reddish brown with persistant beige head. Aroma of oak, cherry, balsamic vinegar, yeast. Medium mouthfeel with sweetish finish. Not bad at all.

Poured brown with an off white head. Aroma of sour cherries. Flavor started off some sweet fruit, mostly cherries, and finished with a sweet oak texture. Different but nothing special.

330ml bottle, 5.5% A/V Pours dark dark brown/red with tan head. Nose consits of an incredible red wine smell with some malt and complex bitterness. Tastes fairly grapey, with malt and red wine aspects. An almost grape juice finish which is an interesting departure from almost any beer ive had.

Dark brown but filter clear. Little to no head. Nose is very faint. Can’t pick anything up on it. Malt comes through with some deep fruit flavors (plum/prune). Slight oak flavor and slightly sour. Finishes extra dry. Nice beer, but I would have liked it to be slightly more sour.

Simplistic compared to Rodenbach GC. Reddish brown in color with a medium, tan colored head that sticks around for the most part. Aroma is sour and sticky sweet at the same time with minor wood notes. Initial taste is sour and fades into a discernable barnyard flavor that is overwhelmed by the fruity sweetness. Creamy through the middle and finish. Not bad at all, but it was not as interesting as I qould’ve liked.

Nice entry level sour as it is only slightly sour and has a thin effervescent body that while good is a bit on the thin side. Good Belgian funk and a tart sour fruit finish...an easy drinking Belgian.
