COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

Since it's Bastille Day, I thought that I would drink a Belgium beer (as I fart in your general direction). Strong plum aroma which seems to accompany other ale aged in oak casks. Dark reddish-brown color with little head. On first taste, it lacks character - a bit tart but no real flavors and a bit watery. I'll let this warm up a bit and try again later. It's later. A little more taste and bitterness. Sweet apple and chocolate. This could be a very nice starter ale for somebody trying flemish sours as it doesn't overpower.

aroma has strong sour character and some background sweet/floral action. pours a deep brown with tan head...good lacing. Flavor is not as sour as aroma would indicate: instead, malty, with a little nuttiness, and very smooth. excellent flemish brown.

Bottle. Pours copper brown with a small, quickly diminishing beige head. Aroma is mild sour apple with some earthy notes. Flavor is initially tart and acidic with sweet caramel toffe notes coming in quickly before a lightly soured fruit finish. Very drinkable.

Pours a very dark brown with a good head in a snifter. Aroma is wine, citrus, very wood forward, funky, cherry, very tart and sour. Taste is slightly stronger than the aroma, wine and cherry forward, sour but not too much, dry wood finish. Great beer, could drink it all day long in the summer.

Nice beer, poured a redish brown with soft white head slight iron on the palate and on the nose flavour is slightly reminiscient of black doris plum seeds mixed with a sourish note. Very dry on the finish.

Brown ruby color, nice head and lacing. Aroma of barnyard, barrel, some cherries, raisins. Taste is sour sweet, wood and fruits. All is easy drinking, no challenging. Still a good one.
