Dark ruby red – red as wine. The style is also called the Burgundy of Flanders, and is a very typical and common beer in West Flanders
Created by a secret blend of the aged and sour ‘mother beer’ with fresh brewed sweeter beer, this beer produces a sour-sweet balance, set off by the underlying bitterness of the hops. A discovery! The best in its style! Light in alcohol, exciting complex flavors and tastes come to the forefront.
Although serving cold is recommended, taking time to drink it will release more aromas towards the end of your glass.

11.2 oz bottle pours a reddish dark brown with a frothy beige head and some lacing. Aroma is full of dark fruits (especially cherries with a hint of oak. Body is medium with enough carbonation to keep the moutheel lively. finish is has a tart/sour flavor, for 20 months on it is not that oakey. but an interesting beer

Pours a rich dark brown from a bottle. Very light funky sourness, mostly fruity maltiness. Good beer.

Bottle 0.33l. Hazy ruby to brown body, minimal white head. Aroma of wild and sour dark cherries, red wine, nutmeg, cherry compote. Taste is sour with slightly bitter finish and very slightly sweet base. Again many cherries, red wine, red grapes. Medium body, high carbonation.
A fuller body would fit better, but never mind, it’s great one! I enjoyed it so much!

Perhaps I’m too unseasoned to really appreciate this. Copper color with off white head that lasts relatively long. Faint, subtle aromas of cherries and raisins and fig. Lots of red wine-like qualities in this one. Not very malty and I don’t really get a lot of caramel characteristics. More like orange peel on the taste. No bitterness at all but there are some sour elements to it. Medium-full body....I’m very confused.

Farven er mørk ravbrun med en lysebrun skumkrone. Aromaen er vin, citrus, træ og kirsebær. Smagen er vinøs, kirsebær, træ og den er mega sur.

Dark amber-brown pour with a thin, beige head. Aroma is toasty, woody and bready malt with just a hint of woodiness, some medium acetic acidity, earthy fruit and sweet floral notes. Flavor is earthy wood, a hint of roast, bready and biscuit malt, some acetic tartness and wildflower floral notes. Light bodied with slightly syrupy, soda-like feel and medium carbonation. Pretty good stuff overall, a bit on the plain side for the style.

Aroma - some Bretty phenols, some apple esters Appearance - auburn body with good nucleation. The head is off-white and about 1/3" and settles to a foam. Sporadic lace. Taste - there is a subtle sour and somewhat vinous nature. There is some apple esters. Palate - body is on the light side of medium, the texture vinous, average carbonation, and somewhat tart finish a little dry.

Bottle (from Koht). Pours dark ruby with beige head. The head stays for a second. Aroma is acidic, fruits, sour cherries, citrus with medicinal notes. Flavor is sour and sweet, less sour than nose would suggest, fruits, caramel, malt. Finish is short sour and sweet with slight metallic notes. Overall: ok.

Pours dark red with small head. Aroma is classical, sour, fruity, some notes to grapefruit, wood. Taste gives a warm loopback, sour. Notes of grapefruit, wood, barrels, cellar, fruity. Quite complex after. Not bad!
