(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet and yeasty bready malty aroma with notes of cookies, fruity accents of pears and shy traces of hops. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Caramel-malty and yeasty fruity (citrus, pear) taste; sweet and mildly bitter fruity and malty finish with a tinge of herbal hops and a nasty metallic note which fades away after a few sips. 05.I.10

Bottle. Twat exploded all over my floor on opening. What I could salvage didn’t impress me either. Gold with a thin white head after all that . Right showy little bastard he is. Not much happening here, light grass, little malt and some bitterness. Come on lads, poor showing.

Decent pour, medium bodied Belgian ale. Fruit, dough flavors and a medium bitterness all wrapped together.

20090706 11.2oz bottle from State Line. Orange amber color with lasting, lacing white head of uneven foam. Aroma is bready, apple pie, lightly sour. Mild yeasty flavors, musty, more cooked apple. Finish is uneventful, soggy, and with lingering oxidized flavors. Forgettable stuff.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 drpimento (1695) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 10, 2009
another interesting brew. Got this bottle a while back, don’t remember exactly where or when. Upon opening, I had a gusher. Most of the head settle down to almost zero and no lace in the glass. Aroma is a bit tart, spicy, and mild. Flavor is similar, refreshing, a little malty and dry. Lots of carbonation, but still good body. Color is hazy dark amber. Finish is a malty clean slightly tart and has me looking for another swallow. Session beer.
