Grumligt ljus å bra huve. Söt doft av bränt socker trots den ljusa färgen. Doft av Belgo jäst. Man känner sötman även om den inte är lika söt som jag trodde den skulle vara. Väldig lätt i kroppen, okomplicerad. Har lagrat den i 3 år. Inge humle. Lätt maltkropp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle as "Petrus Gouden Tripel". Clear golden color. Small size, white head, stays. Alcohol, dead yeast and very faint fruity notes in aroma. Sourish, malty, dead yeast, papery notes in taste. Papery aftertaste. Some alcohol too.

Cold, it’s a rather thin, just a light thin perfumey hop. Sweetens a fills out a little as it warms. Straw coloured. Slightly alcoholic palate, as it’s quite thin. Perfumey hops, that come out more in the finish, but it’s not an engaging tripel at all. Too harsh and acidic. Too thin. Expected more from Bavik, a shame.

0,33L bottle (from Wine of Galilee), BB 26.06.17. Pours clear golden with huge off-white head. The head stays. Aroma is metallic, sweet, malt, grains. Flavor is sweet, yeast, spices, malt and some alcohol. Finish is yeasty dry bitter. Overall: drinkable, but not enjoyable.

Hazy golden yellow, medium white head with soapy retention. Spicy, malty, slightly citric-lemony nose. Flavor is malts, spice notes, hops, toasty notes, caramel notes and alcohol. Finishes with alcohol, spice and hops. Pretty smooth stuff.

The tripel in this series, nowadays called Petrus Gouden Tripel; hazy golden blonde, thick frothy head; malt sweet character, some estery fruitiness, honeyish touch, iron, a lot of carbonation (actually somewhat overcarbonated for the style); sweet in a dull kind of way, grainy, yeasty, sourish touch, mild grassy hops in the finish but not nearly enough to balance out the sweetness. Clearly a tripel aimed at a wide audience but too sweet and bland for my taste, there are many more interesting examples of the style around in Belgium alone.

Pours out a hazy straw colour with a huge puffy head. The nose is ripe with yeasty aromas as well as lemon zest, earthy and bready notes as well as light spice aromas. Fruity and light in the middle with a sweet musty malt flavour that is unusual . Earthy malts and a finish with light citrus zest and a bit of booziness.

Teaszínű test, krémes habpaplan, autentikus tripel-illatok, melyek között a malátásan édeskés, fanyar élesztős aromák viszik a prímet, amikhez később a jól ismert marcipános árnyalat is csatlakozik. Selymes zamatai szerényen kenődnek el a nyelvünkön, itt-ott lógnak ki kicsit a kartonosan száraz, illetve néhol élesen alkoholos, zöldséges ízjegyek. Kissé nyers az összhatás, elnézően kortyolgatva azonban csalódást semmiképpen nem okoz.
