UPDATED: DEC 6, 2004 Blond with an insanely tall white head that starts bubbly but condenses to froth. Slightly cloudy. Aroma is kind of sour, with possible underlying pineapple/grapefruit/apple fruit salad notes. Some tangyness in the feel.

330 ml bottle. Hazy, very carbonated yellow gold colour with a huge frothy, creamy and rocky white head. Grassy, herbal, and lightly peppery and spicy aroma. Fruity, herbal, and lightly spicy with a perfumy alcohol bitter finish. Medium bodied, fizzy and creamy mouthfeel. Rather disappointing.

Hazy straw color, white head, huge ugly bubbles. Spicy, a little yeasty and a little grainy. That grainy finish is not very pleasant, either. Medium bodied. I was not impressed.

nice-sized head with slightly fruity/estery aroma, but not huge. flavor is not amazing....is smooth and sweet, but has an unpleasant bite on the end. alcohol is not readily apparent, despite being 7.5. bottle from the brewery in the triple petrus glass, but still doesnít hit as high as it could.

Good, but a dissapointment. You figure that if itís a Belgian and monks are involved and itís a triple, then itís going to be amazing. But, itís good enough - a remarkably explosive head, nice citrus/ herbal aroma and a slightly sour aftertaste. But nothing exceptional here.

Big carbonation and the frothiest white head Iíve come across in a beer in forever. bubbly pale yellow colour. Aroma of spice and citrus and rosemary. Great with pasta. Taste is dry apples, pears, champagne, perfumes and a ton of malts. Not too complex, a little unbalanced, and a little under rated.

little douginess and yeastiness for a triple. a prominent metallic wateriness that didnít prevent drinking but left an unsatisfying aftertaste. Some spice, lemongrass and corriande, rberries not too alcoholic. Too malty sweet.

Dating: Best before 1997. Obviously a little aged beyond the brewers recommendation. Pours very cloudy yellow with just a hint of head. Lots of malt and sugary sweetness in the aroma ... along with cookies and cotton candy. Maltier than many tripels (although that might be because of dimished hops due to age), lots of yeast floral and a little alcohol flaovrs. I would like to try this next to a fresh sample, but the aged holds up fairly well.

Huge rocky and lasting head over a cloudy yellow beer. Fruity, spicy, lightly sour aroma with abundant pear/apple character. Lemony citrusy smell here also. Light-bodied, with loads of apple/pear fruit and spice. Quite good, but lacking in complexity.

Bottled. Purchased at Dickies Beer & Grillhouse. Amber body with a medium white head. Nose is flowery and hoppy with a light spice profile and some yeast notes. Mild fruit as well. Taste is spicy and fruity with wheat and yeast notes. A pretty much "standard" tripel. Maybe faint honey hiding in there as well. Body is fully carbonated with a spicy feel to it. Finishes yeasty and spicy with more fruit notes and light wheat.
