250ml brown bottle. Poured golden, huge head with a dense centre and soapy edges. Aroma is sweet and floral, lemon notes, pears and trace alcohol. Fruity in the mouth, slight spice, alcohol is there but not overwhelming. Finishes with a good hoppy bite. Prickly carbonation, a tad too much, otherwise pleasant.

Drunk from 33cl bottle bought from malting pot in Brussels. Enjoyable golden triple with hint of classical sweet sour of the Petrus beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Emmeloord. Big bottle shared by opa Piet. Clear light golden with quick diminishing white head. Sweet malts, lemon peel, coriander, cloves, spices, overripe banana, ginger. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Over medium body, velvety smooth malty body, light carbonation. Begins a bit stale but when left alone a few minutes after opening it improves.

The beer looks quite nice, but simple. The beer has a golden yellow color and is quite clear. On top of the beer a nice layer of white foam is poured. The foam layer is quite thick, but collapses very quick. Almost no foam is left, accept for a thin drape. Some bubbles can be seen rising towards the top. The beer has a nice smell, but it isn’t the best there is. I smell some bananas, some almondy alcohol aromas and some herbal notes. I also smell a simple bready malt aroma. It has a pilsener aroma to be honor. A bit simple for a bready. There are to much malt tones. The taste is the same. It’s a bit simple. Again there is banana, alcohol, some herbal notes and a strong, bread like malt tone. The taste is to plain for a triple and is not in the correct balance. I expected more of this.

Złote, klarowne. Piana biała, średnio pęcherzykowa. Szybko się podziurawiła i opadała z nikłymi śladami na szkle. W aromacie słodowe, z lekkimi nutami owocowymi. W smaku lekka goryczka, gorzkawy posmak, trochę alkoholowy. Lekko grzeje w ustach. Przeciętne.

330ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Clear blonde colour with a thin ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Three-quarter finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with active small carbonation; Quite fragrant aroma of malt, with vanilla, light banana, cranberries, caramel, sugar, bread, strong Bel yeast, light lemon and light grass; Mid to strong sweet taste of Pils malt, with metallic, red fruit notes, light floral, strong sugar, spices, yeast, strong lime, fair strong bitter hops and grass; Medium body, thick and creamy palate; Mouth feel is good Pils maltyness in a very rich and smooth background. Mostly light red fruity ester with strong sugar sweetness but not quite cloying, though. Fairly spicy, moderate yeast with strong lime to round. Solid!... Hoppiness is light lemon and light grass in nose. Spices, strong lime and grassy in taste; Bitterness is fairly strong for a lasting, mid astringent sweet bitter finish; Slightly dry after taste. Sweet, creamy and quite bitter to mouth.

Comments: After the Dubbel Brune, this Tripel is perhaps the only other quality Petrus beer around. It’s back to basic without fanciful banana fruity elements, yet the sour berries aroma and strong limey hops are enchanting. Not a top dog, but it does the job well enough. Drinkable.
