Draft at Novare Res in Portland, ME. Pours a syrupy orange color with a white foamy head. Nose is lightly fruity like peaches and apricots. Palate is syrupy and sticky, with a light sweet fruity aftertaste. Flavors of pears, apricots, some honey sweetness and a the fruity aftertaste.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 uilliacc (20) - Texas, USA - MAR 4, 2010
Big white head... I mean big started when the cap came off. Bottle pour into a belgian tall foamy dense head, fairly slow breakdown. Despite swirling most of the yeast stayed put on the bottom of the bottle. after sitting, the head flattens out to a spotty slick. Colour is a cloudy yellow-lemon aide. Aroma is citrus at first but gave over to wet hay and funkiness.... Brett? fizzy and funky. A fizzy mouth feel, expected that after the pour. Taste some pear, dry finish. As it warms the flavors are picking up complexity. Feel as it warms fizzy gives over to thin and somewhat biting. And as quickly as it comes it goes-- seems like the complex temperature range is narrow. A touch longer and it’s kind of boiled turnip finished with a sour dry taste and a touch of tongue bite on the edges. Can’t say I’d seek this one out again- might give it another try to make sure I didn’t get a bad bottle- but if this is it.. nah...

33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Pale gold colour, lots of particulate (thought I was careful moving it). Hay and faint banana aroma, warming subdued alcohol comes through with an esthery finish.

Pours a clear yellow color, thick head. Has a skunk and banana aroma. Strong taste of banana. Not much else to it. A terrible Tripel.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 puboflyons (1111) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 13, 2010
From the bottle marked 39618. The pour is a cloudy pale yellow with two fingers of fizzy white carbonation and a lot of upward bubbling mobility. The aroma is classic unfiltered Belgian ale with a decent wheat and citrus foundation and an appelaing freshness and a bit of yeast. Medum mouthfeel. The taste is full of wheat, tangerine or lemon, and a background of hops. The beer is crisp and fresh and very drinkable.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 yemenmocha (657) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Pours flourescent yellow, with brightly contrasting white head.
Nose is a mixed melody of tropical fruits and esters.
Flavor wise, the beer is noticeably high in alcohol at first, but then you can settle into the balance of tropical flavors, especially banana, yeasty/estery notes, and pleasant bubble gum.
Finish is long and medium sweet.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 manuchampions (1154) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 28, 2009
12oz bottle from 16th St. Liquor in West Vancouver. Light, murky golden with an airy and rocky white head that sticks around a good long while. Yeasty aromas with an emphasis on crisp apple, brown bread, and honey. Some alcohol and bitterness on the initial bite before reaching a plummy, rich, nearly cherry fruit. The long finish ends with a final dry salute to a very decent tripel. Marks off for a lack of complexity and a little thinness.
