Malt, hay, and corn nose, no fruity esters. Clear golden, thick head, good lacing. No esters in the flavor, no candi. Corn again. Alcohol is appropriate. I’m sorry, but this drinks like a well made and palatable american malt liquor. the serving temperature is warmer than I would prefer, but I doubt this would ever resemble a good tripel at any temperature. This must be Belgium’s budget brand.

Drinker beware: When cracking this beer open do so over the sink. It will overflow the bottle before you have a chance to tip to the glass. Just be prepared. I lost a full 2/3 of the first one I opened. Different than other Triples I’ve had. Pours a yellow/orange with a huge head that approaches the rim of the tulip. A past rater described the head as being meringue like...he nailed it. It has that same stiffness that you could whip peaks into. A bit of sediment suspended in this fairly viscous brew. The head eventually settling into a nice white foam cap. Nice aroma, sweet and musty with candied sugar and a distinct sourness. Good mouth feel with some decent carbonation. Bready flavors with fruit and champagne. A bit of hops on the finish with some grassy notes. Dry finish with clean aftertaste. Nice beer, but not exactly my idea of a Triple.

golden, clear, medium bitterness, medium sourness, fizzy, frothy, Bottled. A deception. I find the taste not really pleasant. She is thirst-quenching for a tripel.

Bottle @ home. Pretty standard, slightly hazy yellow / golden tripel color, large white head. Ok taste, nice body and decent carbonation.

Good color, good fruity aroma, but it tastes old. Waayyyy too much cooking sherry in the flavor. If you like sherry, this is the tripel for you.

Non so perchè ma da questa tripel col paffutello in vetrina, mi aspettavo un pò di più...
