3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of spices and alcohol. Pours straw yellow, very large (and annoying) head, slightly cloudy. Sweetness in the flavour and a dry finish. Slight hops and alcohol. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Overall lacking complexity but not a bad beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I have finally found a beer with too much head. Took me more than 5 minutes to empty a 25cl bottle into a Duvel glass. Plenty of carbonization which settles down before head. Dark straw colour. Strong aroma when you open the bottle but rather light in the glass. Hard to pick out specific flavours. Alcohol flavours are strong from start to finish. Almost malt liquor like. Dry and light candy finish with some bitterness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A mild and light tripel. Unfortunately it is very yeasty. Otherwise it would probably have been a fine brew.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Appearance exactly like the picture (including the mile-high foamy head). Aroma gave away nothing but the taste was a complete fruit basket (peach, apricot, cranberry, etc) topped off with LOTS of alcohol. Personally I thought there was too much alcohol and it spoiled what was an otherwise very enjoyable beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2003 Typical belgian tripel color. Some very sparkly effervescence though. Aroma is tart yet sweet, like a apple-cranberry sweet and sour sauce. Definitely a little bit of the pear/tart apple cider aroma. Very tart to begin with, but has a rich honey flavor on the back of the palette. Finishes with a chewy yellow raisin texture/flavor that is very tasty!! While I am extremely impressed with the aftertaste/finish, I do not care for the initial overly tart/dry flavor, that is too big up front and lurking.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Gold color. Large head. Aroma is malty and fairly spicy. A medium bodied ‘triple’. Not very malty, mostly spicy and fruity. Peaches and apricots, with a strong spicy character. Somewhat lemony and grassy. Very dry character. High and lively carbonation. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good blonde ale appearance with a deeply malted aroma and a very strong alcohol finish. The flavour is principally alcohol which is disappointing. Overall though very good.

First pour, nothin but head, a glass full of foam. Second pour, 1 inch of beer, 4 inches of foam. I was finally able to get most of the beer into the glass on third pour. Golden color, ridiculously big sticky white head. Spicy, citrus, peppery pear, alcoho, wood and flowery hops. Thank you Todd.

aroma of bread yeast and peach. light yellow color. lots of complex flavors. yeasty dough and fruit-especially ripe banana. as it warms there is a stronger taste of citrus (lemony), green apple and as it gets warmer still, an alcohol taste is noted.
