Nice aroma and flavor on this one, leads to a good, though not great, belgian ale.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2013 Cinnamon and pepper in the aroma. Malty, peppery flavor with apricot. Alcohol clearly present. Fairly thin with a good lacing. Not bad, but not well balanced.
Corked bottle, tasted in feb 2013 as Petrus Gouden Tripel. Blonde. Shy aroma with only hints of malt and citrus. Thinnish, alcoholic, slightly perfumed flavor with malty notes and hints of citrus. Moderate brew.

Nice white wine like aroma. Large dense white head with good staying power. Crystal clear golden color. Smooth with an interesting tangy flavor. Its almost like a malty tasting mild champagne. This gets high marks for its unique qualities.

Pours a nice clear gold with a HUGE marshmellow head. Aroma of tart green apples, yeast and alcohol. Highly fizzy mouthfeel. Thin tart flavour with a bit of malt, sliding into a bitter hop finish with a bit too much alcohol coming through. Gave me a Barney-style belch after almost every mouthful.

Banana/apple yeast aroma. Crystal clear golden-yellow colour with thin yet towering and stable white head. Thin bodied, mettalic tasting. I can’t stress the thinness enough. Flavour is on the sweet side. Not substantial enough for me.
