Typical Belgian yeast with slightly fruity aroma. Hazy yellow with medium white head. Light, refreshing with a touch of sweetness.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Blond beer - very frothy head. Strong tasting beer, fruity undertone. Not particularly palatable, in fact it’s hard work.

Extremely clear golden pour starts with a rocky white head that fades to a 2mm cap. Strong floral and apple aromas, with a bit of saddle leather. Honeyed grainy taste with a woody bitterness from the first taste. Slightly slippery mouthfeel with some pricklyness from carbonation. Slightly sour lemon & more honey to finish

pretty cool...light refreshing tripel. not heavy handed on the yeast and spiciness, which i liked, but enough going on to be more than a one trick pony. i’d buy again.

A: The pour is a lightly hazed straw color with a fairly impressive white head that settles down to about a finger tall layer. S: Quite a bit of citrus notes, which is a bit odd for a tripel, sweet bread and some hints of sugar. A fairly dry crispness to the nose, also out of the ordinary, but enjoyable. T: Not nearly as spice and sugar forward as many tripels, but I like that. Some hints of apple and banana, along with a bit of sugar, but still fairly dry. A really crisp, clean flavor. M: The body is medium with a high level of carbonation. D: A little different than most other tripels I’ve come across, but it works quite well (I think). I would have this again.

Originally rated January 2006. Petrus Triple pours a golden colour with tiny sediments floating all around. It is still clear, almost like a golden lager-look. The white head is fizzy-creamy, big, but dissipates fast enough, leaving a nice wavy lacing around the glass. Light carbonation, just like their Speciale. Aromas of hop with some sourness in the back and very mild vinegar. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is malty and slight lemony with a mild bitter finish. Not much aftertaste and quite smooth. Not much of a triple, but a good Belgian strong ale.

Hazy golden pour from bottle. Enormous white foamy head. Aroma is spicy, with notes of lemon zest. Taste is honey, yeast, citrus and grass, with a warm finish. Pretty good, but I would have liked it more if it wasn’t so damn foamy.

Bottled. Golden beer with foamy white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Flavor is quite sweet, malty and belgy-yeasty. Simple but tasty.
