awaisanen (1143), Irvine, California, USA Feb 22, 2006 Bottle. Cloudy golden color with a nice, small bubbled white head. Aroma has an alcoholic touch to it, but in the way that bread smells when you pull it directly out of the oven. Mild, semi-sweet orange notes as well, but faint compared to the overpowering yeasty bread. Pleasant, even effervescence soothes the tongue. Some light nuttiness as well. Finishes with a baking yeast smack. Interesting... but still quite tasty.
boFNjackson (512), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 1, 2008 Bottle... Poured a cloudy, vibrant orange with a huge, HUGE forming white head. Citrus fruit, hops and some esters on the nose. Medium body, a good carbonation but also a nice, thick consistency. Flavors of hops, a malty sweetness, and some yeasty, ester notes that give a nice dryness. Other fruity notes, like citrus and plum maybe. Not over-bearing with the sweetness, I think a lot of Tripels can be. cgarvieuk (2388), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 28, 2008 Bottle at home .. Golden yellow ... big frothy head ... yeasty slight spice nose ... spicy fruity hop ... bitter finish ... ok but nothing special drjay44 (127), USA Aug 20, 2008 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a froathy head which lingers as a thin layer, pale yellow, minimal nose, multiple spice layers, which roll over the tongue, tart, bitter finish. The spice layers were the strength, lots of carbonation dominated. Borresteijn (543), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 14, 2008 Bottle in Bruges. Golden colour, big fluffy white head. Aroma of fruits, slightly tart, spices. Flavour is malty sweet, fruity with a sourish finish. OK. the_federalist (198), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle 750ml. Pours hazy and golden with an enormous loose white head. Aroma is spicy and fruity. Flavor is sweet and tart, and the finish, instead of being yeasty, is dominated by botanicals (citrus zest and corriander). A bit too sweet for me I’m afraid.
