3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Fin (5489) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2007
Bottle, (forgotten where from maybe onlyfineales.com?) had this 25-12-07 Pours mid/dark amber with a nice off-white head. Yeasty, spicy and honey aroma, slowly fade to reveal a reasonably tasty beer with a very slight sourness noted at the edges. There is also some spices and caramel in there but overall for a winter beer I was a bit dissapointed it could have been a bit spicier and more interesting.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Braudog (4473) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - NOV 21, 2007
Bottle: Spewed from my bottle with an airy, foamy head over a bloody red brew. The aroma is vaguely yeasty, but is predominately fruity and sweet. This drinks exquisitely smooth, a very nice evenly made blend of caramel, tart fruit, and a hint of spice. How does this rate so poorly overall? I don’t get it sometimes. This is very, very good.
