Bottle, (forgotten where from maybe onlyfineales.com?) had this 25-12-07 Pours mid/dark amber with a nice off-white head. Yeasty, spicy and honey aroma, slowly fade to reveal a reasonably tasty beer with a very slight sourness noted at the edges. There is also some spices and caramel in there but overall for a winter beer I was a bit dissapointed it could have been a bit spicier and more interesting.

Bottle purchased at Falling Rock Tap House. Pours clear brown with a large, fizzy, off-white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, straw), light hops (grass), average yeast (barnyard, earth) with notes of cardboard. Medium bodied, gritty texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Bottle: Spewed from my bottle with an airy, foamy head over a bloody red brew. The aroma is vaguely yeasty, but is predominately fruity and sweet. This drinks exquisitely smooth, a very nice evenly made blend of caramel, tart fruit, and a hint of spice. How does this rate so poorly overall? I don’t get it sometimes. This is very, very good.
