3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rosenbergh (3135) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 4, 2012
330 ml bottle. From bierzwerg.de.
Dark reddish brown colour with small greyish tan head.
Mild but nice aroma of sourness and dark malty sweetness put together.
Flavour is also nice mixture of dark Belgian Ale and mild elements of Sour Ale. Flavour could be a bit stronger but still very nice and drinkable ale.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nocturne (35) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2012
330ml bottle. Brown with a red glint and a decent head. Bread, vinegar and a hint of soap on the nose. Taste is palatable but a bit undistinguished, and doesn’t pack the sour punch I was hoping for. Worth a try.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 adamjackson (93) - Canaan, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 31, 2012
"Purchased over Christmas with a Petrus gift pack that included a glass. Not a bad deal for their lineup of year-round beers.
Poured at 45 Degrees F into a Dogfish Head Tulip Glass
A - Poured a dark tan that looks black but is very clearly brown when you pour it up for a drink. i love the oak colors of this beer. Poured a semi-oak looking head at about 1 finger even on a fairly vigorous pour.
S - Hints of Lemon and a nice maltiness. The alcohol is very easy to find in this beer. Something really nice about this beer but I can’t quite pinpoint it. Maybe even a melon smell but it’s all dominated by the oak barrels smell.
T - Yeah, lots of oak and still the melon and a tiny spiciness shows through. I love the malt aftertaste. Not a huge beer but certainly very drinkable.
M - Quite an explosion of woody carbonation on the first swish. Goes down smooth and doesn’t leave too much behind.
O - I’d buy this again. it’s no A+ but it’s a solid B in my book. Very drinkable and not too strong. The oak was a nice choice."

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 onceblind (1334) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Clear dark dark ruby brown with a thin foamy head with lots of lace. Interesting aroma with earthy toffee and oak sourness, with a small smidgeon tof Chardonnay and toast. Flavor has a light sour tone that is packed full of flavor. Nice earthy sweet toffee with soft grape esters and a gentle oak tone. Very light chocolate cereal tones before the toffee comes in with an oaked sourness that is slightly tart but mildly refreshing. Has nice sweetness with subdued balancing bitterness.

Brun öl med lätt grumlighet. Lätt vitt skum. Härligt sur doft, röda bär och trä. Smaken är inte lika sur. Går mer åt körsbär. Något tunn.
