COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The great brewmasters of the Pacific Northwest are reverent of the past and its brewing traditions, but never cease to look forward, tinkering and experimenting to create flavors that are uniquely bold and new. Case-in-point, Pfriem’s Blonde IPA— Its refreshing blast of citrus and secret ingredient (sunshine) will have you looking forward to another before even enjoying its just bitter enough finish.

On tap @ Chuck’s CD. Pours bright clear yellow with very thin white head. Aroma is thin pale malt and sharply bitter floral and citrusy hops. Taste is clean lightly sweet pale malt with big earthy grassy, light citrus, lemony hops. Impressively rich and flavorful for such a light beer. Hops are strong but don’t dominate. Not a full-fledged malty IPA, but doesn’t pretend to be either. Very nice.

Jaune-blanche pale avec une mousse moyenne blanche. L’arôme d’agrumes fraîche très fruité. Le goût est pareille. Très bonne!

Sampled during VCBW 2014 pouring a pale straw color with a small white head leaving decent lacing behind. Aroma is light fruits and citrus with some cereal grains. Taste is a grassy and light citrus hop bitterness with some mild spices and a grainy malt sweetness. Light bodied with decent carbonation. A refreshing and easy to drink IPA.

Slightly hazy blonde with a fairly big head. Aroma is spicy, lightly piney, lightly fruity, with a dash of pale malt. Lots of bitterness, herbal and dry like pilsner, touch of zwickelbier yeastiness, light floral hops late... Like a jacked up Kout 10... Really cool...seems more like an hommage to those central European hop bombs, only borrowing the IPA name to move a few more pints in the PNW.

Draft at Craft. 21k golden with a whisper of haze. Delicate lacy head and tendril lace. Dry aroma invokes bay leaf. Gentle carbonation, neither soft nor hard with some pleasing granularity. Lingering grassy bitterness echoes noble hops, and in my mind this is a hoppy pilsner! I dream of beer like this. I wish there was a law that all breweries have to brew a beer like this--one that is sublimely dry with no nonsense. This beer rocks!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
