Light gold, fresh grapefruity, orangey nose, lean pale malts, lots of bitterness, fresh citrusy character, very good balance. Near perfect.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 5+14 oz
Hazy blond color with compact persistent head. Peculiar aroma, very nice: it’s fruity, grapey, possibly also cheesy (goat cheese). The lean pale malt body is a great choice, still it conveys quality; hop explosion, very resiny, bitter, quite fruity and piney.
Great, straight, modern IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Waddell’s.
A glassy apricot color with just an etched top of foam. Smells like grapefruit, some other citrus, a little peach, but mostly like grapefruit. Flavor is nice and bitter with a solid hoppy flavor, plenty more of that grapefruit, some lighter bready malts, good bitter finish. Really solid tasting beer for me. Medium bodied with moderate on hi carb that offers a slight burn then finishes wet. I like this beer, I think it is a quintessential PNW IPA. Just refreshing to get away from he Citra, maltodextrin, sweet East Coast style going around.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at pFriem, pours a clear golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of pine, with a bit of floral and grapefruity hops -- very aromatic. Flavour brings out a blast of piney hops, with some citrus and grapefruit cutting in later on. Just enough balance from crackery malts to back the high dosage of hops. Finishes very bitter and dry. Definitely an IPA for more extreme hop heads. Excellent.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at he brewery. Strong dirty hops, light manure. Dark straw color, thin smooth head with great lacing. Citrus hop hit initial; good sweetness underlying the mid palate; lengthy bitter aftertaste. Medium body. Very well made, smooth, and eminently drinkable. I’d have another right away.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Damn. A really nice IPA. Has a solid grain note that is soon eclipsed by the twin flavors of guava and hops. A real nice blend and use of hops. Delicate with a punch to it.
