Bottle. Lively medium yellow pour, foamy white head that retains nicely. Crisp crackery malts, straw/reedy notes, light citrus, grassy and earthy/rustic, lightly spicy, very dry finish with low sweetness. This is the kind of saison I love.

22oz bottle poured into a highball glass. The aroma is earthy and peppery with citrus, light clove, lemon, and a hint of banana. It pours a murky, glowing golden with a soft, unstable, fizzy head that has light retention and good lace. The taste is a medium sweet and light bitter blend. The slick texture is accompanied by a fizzy carbonation and a light body containing peppery notes as well as lemon and bread. It finishes peppery and clean with a dry grassy quality and no aftertaste.

Glowing golden orange with a firm white head. Aroma is lightly earthy, plenty of bright citrus notes, some spicy clove. Flavor is very full of that bright citrus, spice, lightly sweet fruit. Full of tiny bubble carbonation in the mouth. Lingering citrus bitterness. Pretty tasty saison.

Super hazy pale golden coloured body with a super light straw coloured glow and a ridiculously large, ugly-laced off-white head. Aroma of grass, hay, yeast, coriander seed, light spice, minor hops and a smooth and light funkiness. Medium-bodied; Assertive spicey and grassy quality up front with a good dose of hops and tropical fruits right behind. Aftertaste shows a barnyardie funk that goes nicely along with the yeast, coriander seed freshness and a bit of the herbal elements from both the malt and hops. Overall, a nice and very complex saison that shows the typical characteristics well and a few niceties like tropical fruits from hops and a light sour/funk note that is reminiscent of a real french biere de garde. I sampled this split 37,5 cL corked/caged bottle purchased from Zupan’s Market in Portland, Oregon (Burnside Ave) on 02-May-2015 for US$5,99 (bottled on 04 02 15) sampled at home in Washington on 04-September-2015.
