MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 7, 2006
(bottle) Clear pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Grassy and quite unspectacular hop aroma with a malty background. Bitter flavour, medium body, well carbonated smooth mouthfeel. Very hops accented taste with grapefruit and lemon grass elemts, restrained maltines, dry and bitter hoppy, grassy finish with herbal accents. Nice.

pivnizub (8731) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAR 20, 2006
Bottle (donated by MoritzF): Pale golden coloured, mid-sized fluffy, lacing white head; quite strong grassy hoppiness in the aroma; dry, stronger bitter flavour; bitter-aromatic dry finish. Very pleasant, well rounded german Pilsener. Far better than the sad german average "Pils"..........................

How this made it all the way here is beyond me, yet there it was, an entire pallet of this beer on display in one of the local liquor stores. A clear, light golden colored brew with a foamy small-bubbled head. Hay scented, a basic, simple yet crisp pils. Light bitter follow and aftertaste, nothing much going on but not offensive.

jercraigs (7456) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 12, 2005
Fresh from Germany, courtesy of a Brewnosers meeting. Very pale yellow, fluffy white head. Grassy medium hop sin the aroma. Slightly grassy flavour with moderate bitterness. Mild lingering bitter notes linger in the aftertaste. Average palate. Meh.

Beautiful cascade of bubbles in a golden color with a great lucious bright white head...I started smelling it in the glass about 2 feet from me...very very skunky...strong skunky flavor with a big hop profile for a pils...finish a little grassy...

Golden yellow, no much head. Grassy hoppy nose. Hoppy, grassy flavor. Saaz hop flavor and aroma. Well-balanced, but not very interesting pils.Alsom slightly skunky. Similar to Becks.

CapFlu (4461) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 1, 2003
(Bottle) Nice classic German beer; very likable. Pours a medium, white foamy head anad a pale gold body. Hoppy aroma. Light bodied but holds its complexity, hops, some mellow malt flavour. Finishes dry and bitter. A very pleasant beer overall.

Light nose but the hops come through here as well as in the taste. Light body but nicely bitter. This reminds me of Jever very much, one of my fav German pils. Check this out: the label on the bottle has a small star that turns green when the beer is between 6-8 degrees Celcius, so you know if you are drinking at the brewer recommended temp. A marketing gimick for sure but this is a good idea. I know I’d like to know that I’m enjoying my Stone Imperial Russian Stout at 55 F or not.

Oakes (12167) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 5, 2002
Richly hoppy, with a lot of noble character and a long, dry finish. Balanced by a pleasant, if delicate, pale malt character. Recommended for fans of north German pils.
