So close to Heaven! This cloudy unfiltered original German Wheat Beer will give you a feel of heaven. A fresh, fruity taste combined with an unforgettable effervescent mouthfeel. Make sure you use a real Hefeweizen glass to get the last drop of flavor out of it.
Ingredients: water, wheat malt, barley malt, hops (Hallertau, Spalt), yeast.

500ml green bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Cloudy hazy pale straw golden colour; Three finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 4 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with active carbonation; Fragrant aroma of malt, with strong wheat, tartness, banana, vanilla, floral, sugar, strong cloves, cinnamon, strong yeast, dough, lemon and light grass; Close to light sweet taste of light malt, with light metallic, light banana, wheat, light tartness, light floral, light vanilla, molasses, earth, cinnamon, strong yeast, light lemon, very light bitter hops and light grass; Mid to light body. Slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is solid light maltyness in a pretty thick background. Wheatyness is fair with light tartness. Banana and fruity ester is very light, earthy and spicy bready yeast prevalent. Moderate sweetness, clove and phenol in short supply. Low lemon to round. Okay… Hoppiness is floral, cinnamon, earth, lemon and light grass in nose and taste; Bitterness is fairly low for an abrupt, very low-astringent sweet and bitter finish; Fairly dry after taste. Malty and fairly easy to mouth.

Comments: This one is malty than most Hefeweisses, with good looks, nice spicy cinnamon aroma, but taste and palate is rather pedestrian. Drinkiable but nothing special.

Can, shared with Parksy. Murky greyish yellow, average white head that retains poorly. Wheat with light spices, not a lot of banana and no clove. Light mouthfeel, lightly tart finish. Just ok.

Pours a cloudy straw colour with with a nice head, no lace. Tastes of banana, spices, citrus but maybe too much sweetness. Nothing stands out for this beer, probably would go looking for it.

A bad hefe. Not a bad beer though. Pours a bright golden straw with a thin off white head. The nose is a bit sweet, malty, grassy and a pinch of spice. No banana, light spice esters, grainy malts, crisp finish. Light and easy going!

Bottle, 500mL. Home. A brown yellow opaque beer with yellow hues at the bottom of my glass ; big creamy white head ; good retention. Fruity aroma (lemon, peach, pear), acid, herbs, coriander (?), flower, a bit metallic. Medium dry bitter, light sweet, a bit acid. Light body, medium texture, good carbonation, dry lasting bitter refreshing. Overall, a very plesant "fruity" refreshing beer.

Light misty golden body and stable head. Simple bready notes, yeasty, hopless, perhaps a bit flowery. Quite carbonated and too sweet in the end. Very unimpressive beer. (50cl bottle from V&B Tours)

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with a fair head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, banana and bit of spice. Taste of wheat, banana, yeast and bit of malt sweetness. Fairly mild bitterness and a bit dry . Moderate body, with a bit of an earthy touch. Decent beer for the style.
