COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bogside is our tribute to the legendary red ales of Ireland. Our recipe combines seven kinds of barley malts to provide a rich, toasty flavor and tawny amber hue.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish pour with white head, aroma has notes of mineral, earth, grainy and husky bread malts, some sweet biscuit, touch of spice and a hint of grass in there. Taste is a mix of sweet husky grain and biscuit, some yeast and mineral notes, touch of grass and earthy spice, touch of sweet caramel and toffee, finishing fairly sweet and dry.

Draft sample at the brewpub. Nice amber pour with a small offwhite head. Pretty non-existant aroma and relatively light flavor. Big malt notes by design.

On tap at brewpub. Pours clear amber with small white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, grassy hops, and some earthy malts. Flavors of toffee, caramel, toasted malts, and grassy hops. Decent Irish ale.

Tap @ brewery. Amber appearance with a tan head. Somewhat toasty, caramel, toffee, mild grassy/earthy hoppy aroma. Sweet toffee forward, sort of reminiscent of an English bitter, with a higher hop content though itís still pretty tame by American standards. Cracker, toast, earth notes.
