3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
on tap-pours a tan head, color is brown. Aroma is grain & sweet. Taste is malty and then the hops come through boldly. This was their best beer of the batch I had, very nicely done.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Phantom Canyon poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting light amber head. Aromas of carmel, citrus and light pine. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark red. Sticky foam on the glass. Fruity grapefruit aroma and likewise in the flavor. Light and drinkable. One of only two passable beers at Phantom Canyon.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
[Colorado Road Trip – 2006]
This was a deeper orange color brew. Has a hard time with the over malty flavor vs the hops being a tad subtle. I was not a huge fan of this brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark amber in colour with no head at all. Maltiness in the aroma with almost nothing else. A great malty flavour with a bit of sweetness and a touch of hops thrown in. Finishes with a malt bitterness. Overall, a better than average that was one of my favourites from the afternoon at the brewpub, which says quite a bit, because I usually don't like the style. I had this on tap at the brewpub in Colorado Springs, CO on 10-August-2003.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Rich amber color with a yellowish ivory head. Classical cascade hop aroma making this look, smell, and taste like a Colorado brewpub ale. Good, but not great.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Their "red ale," with crystal malts and cascades. One of their better beers, IMHO. Nice texture; creamy with a thickish presence. Not too "hoppy" by any means, but it has a decent citric quality. Bitterness builds with time somewhat. Chewy malts are a nice complement. Decent beer, indeed.
