Bottle. Pours amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is highly malty with notes of bread, biscuits and ripe fruit. The flavour is quite sweet with notes of sweet malt, sugar, ripe fruit, yeast and ends up light alcoholic and fruity.

Bottled. An unclear dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, vanilla, wood, over ripe fruits, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of whisky, caramel, over ripe fruits, alcohol, and vanilla, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orage to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dense malty and overripe fruity. Thick malty, overripe fruity and ligering dárk malty to caramelish.msweet and light note of overripe sweet fruitiness. Smooth malty finish.

cloudy brown, small offwhite head. sweet malts, wood in the aroma. flavor is sweet malty, woody, booze.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy dark amber color with almost no head. The aroma is sweet and nutty, maybe a bit buttery. Very sweet flavor, almost like a Thomas Hardy, with good malt and toffee flavor; there is an interesting pineapple freshness; in the final, some sweet nuts, alcohol, caramel; correct bitterness.
Very good, 70% classic British, 30% zesty American.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a cloudy amber with a tiny off-white head. Thick caramelish aroma, some overripe fruit - slightly oxidized. Rich body, lowish carbonation, a little manure(!), sweet vanillaish but not overly woody or Bourbonish. Has a salty character. Lovely. 160612

Bomber courtesy of BeerandBlues2 (thanks Brad!) poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of carmelized pineapple, whiskey, toffee, oak and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmelized pineapple, toffee, whiskey and oak with a smooth dry lingering pineapple whiskey finish.

(draft 12/29/10). Black color. Small tan head. Sweet malt and dark fruit/raisin aroma. Same flavor, with light bourbon. Avg duration. Light alcohol finish with light lasting sweetness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

Bottle, thanks BeerandBlues2. Dark brown hue. Darker fruits, slight woodiness and booze in the aroma. Toffee and sweet dark fruits in the flavor, caramel, and a kiss of alcohol in the flavor. Slick, thicker body, pretty viscous.

Big bourbon and toffee nose, lots of dark fruit, some booze. Taste is extremely sweet, moderately bitter, lots of toffee, slightly astringent, light coffee, lots of raisins, plenty of bourbon, lots of raw sugar.
