Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 21, 2003 The flavor is dominated by citrus notes. The color is a hazy orange and it has a fine though collapsing head. The flavor is very un-beer-like; dominatid by sour and lemon notes. It ends on a lemony prickling. An interesting beer in the light, that it tries to emulate an old Egyptian brewing method - but I must confess that the product development in the last 4000 years concerning beer has rendered a better product. Papsoe (10521), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 29, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Are we really to believe that this was brewed from an ancient, Egyptian recipe? Pale orange colour with big lumps of yeast. Decent head and lots of carbonation. Apparently brewed with figs and dates which I have difficilties sensing. Slightly sour notes in the finish. 130502 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 27, 2001 Apparently this is some vague attempt at an ancient Egyptian style of beer, but taking it far less seriously than either Scottish & Newcastle or Dogfish Head. It is more of a witbier than anything else, with a billowy head, fine malt flavours, a gentle spiciness, and a herbal dry, yeasty, alcoholy finish. Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 11, 2005 Bottle. Yellow color with a big white head. Spicy yeasty lemon aroma and dry yeasty fruity taste. Medium body and a light sweet dry finish. fonefan (4884), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 6, 2006 Bottle. Yellow color with a big white head. Spicy yeasty lemon and hoppy aroma. A dry yeasty fruity taste.
