First let me say that I am generally repulsed by IPA. So ignore my numbers. Typical pale lager IPA color. Smell is perfumy like there are lots of hops in there. Thicker viscous first palate impressions. Tadte is settling into a big oily grapefruit rind or pine sap tar impression. At first not sure what to think then it does the thinking for you. IPA, almost DIPA territory. Rude crude but unfortunately not nude to the the lager lahver. Like a harley that wont start, it contunues to annoy me. Finish is medium long bitter nastiness that penetrating every aspect of the surface area on my tongue.

this beer has a sweet and citrus hoppy aroma that i enjoy. grapefruit candy it is not overly sweet. it has a nice slightly slick and malty backbone that is not overdone (how we like it) and complements well. stays long and has a dry hop character........aaahhhh you if your’e not a hop head you, you just don’t understand....nice alcohol to fill in the gap. nice brew!

A sub par IPA. This is more like an EPA given the low carbonation and malt forward flavor. Aroma was weak. Could pick up a distant hop aroma hidden behind light fruity notes. Pour was a cloudy light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was very fruity and and malty. Not much of a hoppiness to it but still pretty good. Little to no carbonation which hurts the beer. As an IPA this is not very good, as a beer it’s OK.

7th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Very fruity IPA. Not bitter. Silky palate. Just a touch fruitier than a lot of IPAs.

THOUGHTS: Rather British. I don’t know where they got the idea that this beer was a crimson color. Nice take on the style. It was sort of right in between a British and American IPA. Very nice balance. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium orange with and average, slightly off-white head that mostly diminished, but left good to excellent lacing. The aroma was light caramel malt and orange juice; moderate to heavy herbal, orangey and lemony hops; with a little les pine hops; light doughy and earthy yeast and slight honey. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet and bitter; while the finish was sweet and rather bitter with a long duration. There was a little honey, candy, caramel malt, orangey hops, pine hops, resinous hops, earthy hops, a little yeast, lemony hops and a little toast. The medium body was a little syrupy and then fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and slightly metallic finish.

Sampled on draft at D’s Monroeville this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized head that faded quickly. The aroma as mild perfumey, grapefruity and piney hops. The flavor was tart and very bitter with moderate perfumey, floral and grapefruity hops. The finish was long and perfumey. Not too impressive.

Orange color in pour nice amount of lacing white head ... light floral hop aroma taste of sweet malt then citrus and a nice bitter hop finish at the end ... a very decent ipa not overpowering with a clean taste .... if you like a little hop but not too much this is for you

Solid west coast juicy hop aroma, citrus forward and inviting. Sticky white head, great lacing, orange gold in the center, damn near clear on the edges. Strong with hop character, soft malt and light in body. Grapefruit everywhere. More like an XPA.
