Philadelphia Newbold IPA

Tap at Royal Tavern. Poured orange with a tan ring. Nose is sweet and hoppy. Taste is hoppy lots of pine and ok.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Hoppy aroma, floral with a hint of citrus. The flavor is fairly well balanced, with floral and herbal hops, a hint of citrus, and sweet malt. Pretty good.

Poured hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of lemons. Very citrusy flavor. Refreshing.

Bottle- Thanks Death with a K. Orange tinge pour with some small white head. An earthy like citrus malt muddle of a beer. Needs more of something, hops maybe?!

12oz Bottle: Pours clear amber w/ a small off-white head. Sweet malt, slight hops & soap in the aroma. Flavor is not all that great. I’ll go out on a limb & say it’s not good at all. Sweet bready malt & piney hops w/ a bitter finish. I can’t quite put my finger on what’s wrong, but something stinks here that’s for sure.

Bottle. While I like the retro design of the label, I don’t really like the flavor of this one. Very biting in a bad way, aroma is slightly pleasant, and it looks pretty good. Don’t think I will get this one again.

Brewed in the USA..... Courtesy of Death with a K, thanks !! Pours a lite orange / straw color with a small white head. Aroma of oranges, caramel and mild hops. Taste has a lite grapefruit flavor with some lemon and grassy notes. Overall, I was not very impressed.

Philly Brewing started this one during the hop crisis and was not as good as it is now. If you have not had one recently, try again. Nice amber maltyness and good kick of bitter with a slightly lingering hoppyness that keeps you wanting more.
