Philly Brewing started this one during the hop crisis and was not as good as it is now. If you have not had one recently, try again. Nice amber maltyness and good kick of bitter with a slightly lingering hoppyness that keeps you wanting more.

Nice amber with a moderate off white head. Hoppy, citric, pine aromas. Nice hop flavor and a good bitter finish. Decent stuff.

somewhat hazy, brown-straw with orange tint. sudsy offwhite head. sweet aromas of floral and earthy hops, a bit of toffee. moderate bitterness (for the style) cleanly bests the nutty malt backbone. finish is tangy with citrus and light pine.

Cask @ GBBF 2008. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish fruity hoppy grapefruit aroma. Sweetish malty slightly fruity hoppy bitter flavor with some hints of grapefruit. Has a sweetish fruity malty hoppy finish.

Another disappointing IPA. I had my hopes set pretty high for this, as I have yet to try anything from this brewer. But it fell way short. This beer pours a bright and beautiful copper color with a generous off-white head. The lacing around the glass cascaded in a sticky and patterend fashion. The aroma was a little off-balance, with some hints of grapefruit, orange, pine and hops. But there seemed to be a matly tone that was a little too sweet and a little sour. The flavors were off-balanced a bit, too. This IPA had the usual dry and hoppy flavors of grass, citrus, grapefruit and pine. But again, there seemed to be a little too much sweetness from the malt angle of the body. There was a sharp breadiness up front and an extremely sweet and a tad sour note on the back end. The finish was nowhere near enjoyable, containing no dryness and hardly any hoppiness. This IPA missed the mark in several areas.

On tap at the brewery. Funny that I think the blonde and red are hoppier then this ipa but they are, more flavorful as well. More malty than balanced with the same crayon flavor as the rest.

Just your average IPA. A little bit weak for my liking but it was ok overall.

On tap at Earth. Nice cloudy copper with a strong white head. Nice fruity and pine aroma with grapefruit, peace and caramel. Super bitter in the mouth, yet slightly watery with notes of grass, pine, and peach. Subtle sweet malts. Pretty average brew, but quite easy drinking.
