Clean amber pour with 1 and a half finger white head, Citrus, pine floral aroma with a pine, caramel malt flavor and a mild bitter hop finish. It was ok, enjoyable. kkearn (994), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2008 12oz bottle, from Capone’s (Norristown, PA). Poured golden amber, capped with a moderate sized beige head. Modest hop aroma with earthy and piney notes, along with some caramel malt. Flavor is predominantly piney hops, with grass, earth, and just enough caramel for balance. Long earthy hop finish. A nice, very drinkable IPA. KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 16, 2008 Hazy amber with no head. Sweet fruity aroma with hoppy and mild piney notes. Hint of yeast and berries in the aftertaste. otismulligan (34), Yardley, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 1, 2008 My second purchase of phila brew co. So kind of had a good idea of what to expect, as I loved the Kenzinger. And all in all I wasn’t let down.
Very heady pour, nice golden murky color. Mild subtle hoppy flavor. Alcohol content is a nice bonus.
Although I am a fan of PBC, I have found that there is some consistency misiing in the overall tastse in a case. Yet, For the price, I can’t pass it bye.
