From Pennsylvania - "Keystone of the Nation" - comes a truly classic American pale ale with a robust flavor. Brewed with a combination of delicious hops and lightly toasted malts, this amber brew will have you singing the virtues of liberty and independence.

Bottle from craft beer outlet. Amber color with some aroma of hops. Tastes of citrus and a slight hop bitterness. Good, but nothing special.

The beer poured slightly amber with a huge head. The aroma was citrus and floral hops. The flavor was slightly fruity with citrus hops and very bitter which gives an astringency on the palate. Overall a decent IPA but slightly overly bitter.

Very foamy white head and a nice cloudy dark orange body. The taste is strong of citrus. Thin on the palate.

Thanks turd. Pours orange amber with some haze and a thin offwhite head. Nose is citrusy and sweet with a light grassy character. Flavor is a disaster. Very bitter and astringent. BLeh.

12 ounce thanks to, I think, McGrupp612. Malty and slightly crisp. No pronounced flavor. Caramel with slight metal. Easy drinking.

Bottle from jrallen34. Thanks. Pours a copper orange with a small white head. Grainy, stale hop nose. Flavor is very metallic, some apple, mint, grain. Not a fan.

From notes: Pours slightly hazy amber color with a 1-finger white head. Aroma was mild grapefruity hops. Medium-bodied, with a slight oilyness. Mild hoppy flavor. Nothing special.

Tick number 500. Celebrating this with mtjoseph. Light caramel in color with a small white head. Bread, stale hops, grass notes in the aroma. Taste is bread like, vegetables, and some off flavor. Holy balls this is bad. Best way to celebrate my 500th rate.

In short: A acidic pale ale with many problems.
How: Bottle 12oz. Consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase somewhere in PA
The look: Partially cloudy golden body topped by a medium off-white head with good retention
In long: Smooth nose of citrusy hops over soft bready cereals. Taste is a bit weird. There is a smooth chewy bready malt backbone but then there is something terribly acrid in the taste along with some band-aids. Citrusy hops are overwhelmed by this acidic and plastic flavor that I have a hard time to put into words. It even felt salty and was unpleasantly very astringent. Finish was more acidic than bitter. Not sure what to make of this one. It didn’t tastee infected or anything, just totally wrong. This was a terrible beer. But remember, when you get a bad bottle like this one it is easy to put the blame on the poor hard-working brewer. And that’s no reason to stop.

bottle... dark gold, too much copper, ugly watery bubbles... overly malted, way to sweet but the malt is off, wet dog toffee, mulched grass, meh, gets worse as it warms... metallic, grassy, malty, too much again, I think this is old, either way its nothing special
