Bottle pour into snifter..no idea when this was bottled but labeled vintage on side of bottle..dark black color..little to no head as expected..nose is very enjoyable..chocolate..cocoa..bourbon notes..wood..oak..hint of coffee and vanilla..really liking everything about the aroma..mouthfeel/palate is smooth..not hot and hides the abv very well..however it was a bit thinner than expected and the nose dominated the rest of the experience..like the bottle..like the Indian..and will definitely seek this out again in the future..good local imperial stout..solid nightcap..well done..

Opaque black as night; thick foamy tan head looks so beautiful; flavor is so rich with hints of licorice; the alcohol comes through as we’ll as some acidicness; aroma has hints of chocolate; finishes dry toasty yummy

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark pour, brown head. Pretty decent stout here. I get some licorice, charred oak, asphalt, tar, dark chocolate, some bittering hops, lots of roasted malt. Just enough sweetness and bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Poured an opaque black with a slight tan foam. Head mostly disappeared but let a few stray islands of lace. Big dark chocolate and coffee notes off the top. Tastes of burnt Turkish coffee. Tootsie Rolls set on fire. Lots of black peppercorns. Charred oak planks. Annisette. Burnt pizzelles. Cigarettes. Tree bark. Tree roots. Vinyl. Nicely dark, but reads black and syrupy like an English Imperial and is missing any sort of creaminess one would expect with a Russian Imperial. Heads up with the 10% ABV.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A-- Poured black, no light penetrating at all on this. One finger light brown head that holds its own pretty well before slowly receding to light milk chocolate film. Swirling gets a dark brown head that quickly changes to the original light brown color.
S-- First smell got lots of molasses and tobacco. After letting it sit and get some air I got fruity and floral cherry smell mixed with roasted malts and a bit of oatmeal with the molasses and tobacco. Not as thick smelling as first few smells gave to this.
T-- Thick and tar like molasses and cigar tobacco taste. Some hop bitterness to back this up but quite earthy with dirty burnt coffee.
M-- Thick, chewy and heavy. Hop presence is in the front and a small bit on the back of the mouth. Get some stewed dark fruits in the back of mouth mixed with the dirty and thick coffee taste. Molasses and cigar taste are mostly in the front and get a big of that feeling of licking an ashtray at the end. Very different.
O-- A lot of overwhelming at times tobacco taste but not that bad

Bomber generously shared by PaulUnwin. Cheers, Paul! Pours stout brown with a tab head. Nose is chocolate, roast, toast, earth, and some dark fruit with a hint of booze. Flavor is similar- chocolate, dark fruit, and roast with toast. Interesting beer with a hint of wood and dark fruit in the finish.

Bomber. Poured medium-deep brown with a tall, kind of odd smoked tan head (looser-bubbles on the edges and very dense on the middle).. some sticky lacing as it descended. The aroma picked up warm cocoa, vanilla, and rye bready malts with accents of ever-so-slightly charred oak and a pinch of dark fruit.. loved it! The flavor found lightly-smoked black malts, cocoa, and vanilla at the core, with tart oak and vinous notes laced throughout.. earth and cocoa bitterness plus another hit of oak on the edges.. finished warm with tasty roasted malts and complementary barrel. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. just OK transitions through the mouth.. overall a well-balanced and mighty tasty brew.
