COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The famous American poet Walt Whitman once described a particular Philadelphia sunset as consisting of, "...a broad tumble of clouds, with much golden haze and profusion of beaming shaft and dazzle." Sounds remarkably similar to our fragrant, satisfying take on the traditional Belgian white ale. Walt Wit's citrus and spice flavors deliver a transcendental drinking experience. Walt Wit is brewed with only a whisper of hops and a hint of herbs to set off the flavor of white wheat and oats.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy chicken broth color with tons of carbonation and head but not much staying power. Nose is wheat and very light on the banana, which is a disappointment. Taste follows and equally lackluster. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very easy to drink middle of the road beer that won’t wow you and not to complex. Don’t get me wrong it not bad but I don’t think you will rave about it. Noise is bread and citrus. Color is cloudy and yellow. Taste is wheat and lemon.

Bottle from craft beer outlet. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is banana, citrus, spices as well as flavor, just a little thin. Good though.

On tap. Hazy opaque yellow with off white head. Banana, cloves, wheat, bit dry, mild malt; good carbonation but thin, too sweet for a witbier.

Pours pale yellow. bread, cereal, citrus, hazy, not much head fizzy.medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour, not the best beer I have ever had in this style. I wouldnt buy one if I had the choice maybe have another if someone was buying next round.

Bottle. Hazy straw yellow with maybe some hints of orange in there. A small fluffy white head quickly recedes to a ring around the neck. Sweet aroma of wheat with a hint of lemon and herbs and spice. Pretty standard fare for the aroma of a wit if you ask me. Taste is lightly sweet, with a muddled mess of spice. Pair that with a pretty thin and watery body and you get pretty big miss. Still, this is better than most of the other efforts I’ve had from the Philadelphia Brewing Co.

bottle... cute name at least... ugly ass beer, murky gold hardly any head... smells like wet cereal, boring... tastes much better than anticipated, some nice clove and wheat but a bit of a metallic finish... ok

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2012 Pours cloudy, honey gold with a hearty, foamy head. Aromas of citrus & herbs. Flavors are tart citrus, slight coconut, yeast spice. Nice twist on a classic white. Look at the ingredients for an odd, yet enjoyable, herbal addition. Palate is a bit "busy" and fizzy for my taste. Overall, not bad. I’ll have another please...
