Commercial Description:
The famous American poet Walt Whitman once described a particular Philadelphia sunset as consisting of, "...a broad tumble of clouds, with much golden haze and profusion of beaming shaft and dazzle." Sounds remarkably similar to our fragrant, satisfying take on the traditional Belgian white ale. Walt Wit's citrus and spice flavors deliver a transcendental drinking experience. Walt Wit is brewed with only a whisper of hops and a hint of herbs to set off the flavor of white wheat and oats.

12oz bottle. Pours a pale straw color, capped with a huge, frothy white head. Delicate aroma of wheat, lemon, flowers, vegetables, and a light dash of clove. Flavors of lemon, wheat, coriander, hay and some vegetal qualities. Just ok.

[Draft at EB&B] Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, coriander, wheat, and lemongrass. Taste of citrus, coriander, spices, light honey, hay, wheat tartness, and a lightly dry finish.

Sampled some of this at Earth Bread & Brewery. Hazy blonde in color with a small to medium off white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, some wheat, spices, a touch of lemon. Taste is mild, with wheat, spices, some bready and earthy belgian yeast, a touch of tartness in the finish. All the components of a good wit were there- just slightly muted.

Draft. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Light lemony aroma with some spice. The flavor has a nice citric zest, with yeast and clove lingering beneath. Nice.
